    Just sounds like you are making work for yourselves. Test both ends of the cable and record the worst reading. How can it be 2 devices when it is one physical item?

    You need a C14 to C15 Jumper Cable. I think the part number is 8121-1093. The hp ones are £40!!!! I got mine off Lanway but had to wait ages for them.

    Isn't 2008 r2 only just supported in u1? The latest vmtools should help.

    VMware Infrastructure 3.x Foundation is VMware vSphere 4 Standard now.

    Depends on your setup. I've got a SAN and 3 ESxi servers. I can just take vmotion the vm's off one and update it. Upgrading vcentre can be done anytime. It doesn't affect the running of the esx servers.

    You can upgrade VC 3.5 direct to 4.0u1. I've just upgraded to u1 from 4.0 with no downtime. (Well almost, you have to restart the vm's after a vmtools upgrade) @Theblacksheep. Are you running View 4? Are you using thin clients? Andy

    VMware does not recommend virtualizing an active domain controller. They only support cold cloning.

    Just this error message on a few clients connected to my utm-1000 IP Limit exceeded. There is a 760 IP limit. Is there?

    Have you got a computer account in AD for the smoothwall box? Are the dns entries correct? Needs both the forward and reserve lookup zones to be correct.

    I used ip pim-dense instead. What vlan are your servers in? If they are in a different VLAN, you need ip pim-sparse in that VLAN too.

    I had this probelm. Check the paper sizes in the printer driver. It would something stupid like that. Andy
