We have id cards that are print release, barcodes on for signing in and out for fire register and id cards. Coloured lanyards for the the id cards are also used for safeguarding - blue= school staff, green= ok to wander alone - checked, red=must be escorted. if you dont have your id you get challenged.

Finding a book that makes me laugh and smile and feel for the characters. A good film that does the same. Seeing my niece smile and listening to her sing (from several rooms away!!) Warm bath, clean sheets, and proper sleep.

hi yes, we have used them, and the guys who come to us are always professional and also tidy up after themselves. The installs always look tidy and are tested before the guys leave.

Smart Boards - haven't used them but found them a while about.

we plan ours based on future projects - also after a few years we have got them to understand that proper classroom based training does cost more than a TA doing an inhouse training course. That said with 2 of us we mange to go on maybe 1 proper course between us every couple of years... EIS do have some network managery things you can sign up as an expression of interest - but they used NEOS training (NEOS IT Training Ltd) to do one of their GPO courses i went on and it wasn't too bad

Even in a lock down procedure event, there should be central management of the event-- even paper based registers with a receptionist/ person in charge calling each class (phone/walkie talkie) to get attendance is better than nothing as a IT tech i hate saying this - but technology isn't always the solution...

Has anyone heard Officially- i mean a statement directly from Capita- that Office 2010 will NOT be supported from Autumn (November) 2017? I have checked the Technical Road maps and it is mentioned that support is to be confirmed.. but we have been told by our support company that it will definitely not be supported and there will be "glitches". Hi all, Need some advice, maybe some of you might have come across this problem. Not sure in right place -mods feel free to move. LA decides to extend the school, builds new classrooms- 1st one handed over all OK as was pre built and shipped to site--lovely. Classrooms 2 and 3 built on site- much smaller-- all finished- handed over. Rather large issue - walls not strong enough- we are told by contractors - to hold an interactive board. issue 2 - you guessed it, under floor heating has been put in. floor can't take weight of statically mounted (on height adjustable mount) screen- wall can't take the weight either. teacher doesn't want one on a trolley as classroom smaller than anticipated. Yes I know-- this should have been bought up before the build finished- but it hasn't. Any ideas? other than crying in a corner-- much welcome

We threw our old ones out once it was superseded--- sorry There was a trick that the floppy held the licences and didn't let you install if you had run out - and you had to have the floppy in when you uninstalled as well so you retrieved the licences... it was not fun. Also if you copied the floppy (as a backup) you lost a licence..

We have a couple of these - they all seem to be USB-A to USB-A. We used a gender changer in the wall plate to present to correct outputs for a B-A lead for the PC.
