  1. That is shocking! The cat didn't even make the top 2 in our poll! (And I'm betting that it was probably 2 of our lady members who voted for the cat!!*) *Watch out for rampant stereotyping, there!!!
  2. I would agree with WDS as the way forward, although I haven't used MDT. Where I used to work, I used WDS and had a selection of images for staff/students. I could have a room re-imaged in about 30 mins. This took a LOT of stress out of summer holidays, as I could do 1/2 rooms in the morning, and the same in the afternoon..... On a campus with over 500 stations, this proved invaluable. There are, from memory, one or two slight kinks to iron out, but once it's running you'll be home free! I also used a Dell Optiplex - a 330 IIRC - and it handled the load with ease.
  3. That's me out of the running for school jobs in Northants then
  4. Oh trust me....the builds that I use have none of that bloatware on!!! But I can understand the shock of seeing a "clean" system!
  5. Been running Jelly Bean on my old Galaxy S for the last 4-5 months (I think!) and have just put the latest build on.... What's there not to get your head around? Super-smooth in every way! If I can help, drop me a line
  6. Have just discovered "Dark Mode".... This, I like!
  7. I'm also certified. I was advised, when I wanted to change career, that this was a good starting point... and they weren't wrong. It allowed me a foot in the door for my first job... my enthusiasm did the rest. Keep meaning to do Network+ but never seem to get the time...
  8. I think it's arrived and he's sooooo busy playing with it that he's forgotten that we even exist!
  9. This would be perfect.....except for the money!
  10. I'm not an expert*, but this could be a tapatalk problem. I suffer the same problem with the XDA app....once you hit the notification, there's no way back! * I may, in fact, be an idiot, and have missed something, so if anyone knows any different, I'd be glad of the knowledge!
  11. Oh by the way.... Notifications ARE working!! Just thought you'd like to know! Am I mistaken in thinking that there used to be an Edugeek app? I'm sure I remember having it on my phone a year or so ago ?
  12. How about "EPIC!" That is what my 8 year old will say when I show him this video!
  13. One thing I have noticed is the lack of notifications! Although that may be down to changing the ROM so much. Also, despite it being in the settings, I don't seem to go to the last unread post in a thread. These are probably both due to the build I'm on so no panic necessary!
  14. Right....as far as sig goes.... My sig "in APP" is different to the website sig. But coming on here shows my normal sig....but I don't see *ANY* sigs through the app. (Not sure I've cleared that up at all!!)
  15. Looking good on my galaxy! Great work, @ZeroHour
  16. I'd also like to point out a further problem with public transport... It doesn't actually GO where I want it to! For instance : Every day, I drive a 64 mile, round trip, to and from work. This takes me around 45-60mins each way depending on traffic. To make the same journey on public transport would take me 2 1/2hrs or more EACH WAY! And there's the nub.... Public transport will NEVER* be convenient! *Unless they build stops on EVERY street for buses, coaches and trains
  17. Now....who would stand to gain the most from artificially high house prices? Why...the very same people who will run the companies that will most likely be termed "preferred bidders" in any tendering process. HSR2 will be obsolete in 10 years....Let alone 20!
  18. Personally, I couldn't give a monkey's either way. By the time it is "delivered" the opposition of the day will be calling the government out for the massive waste of public money. The government will be saying how important it is for the country etc etc etc.....and on it goes. Public transport will NEVER* be the preferred mode of transport whilst it remains so expensive.** *NEVER = in my foreseeable lifetime ** This IS just opinion and NOT fact
  19. Yes, indeed....all of this AND more! The ripples of that government continued through the 90's with Major/Lawson.... Anyone remember "Family Values"? "Back to Basics"? All done by a PM who was doing unthinkable things with Edwina (eggs) Currie. Look up John Selwyn Gummer, BSE and his daughter to see the lengths that ANY politician will go to for their government/seat.
  20. The best decade musically! (Can you tell I grew up with all that?? LOL!!) Once again, I feel you've let yourself down. It is lazy to make a statement like that and not back up your words with some kind of argument against the points made. Hyperbole? Perhaps, in the first line, but the rest is up for discussion as a point on our recent history. The 80's may well go down in history as the decade where society became fractured beyond repair. But that is a discussion we've had elsewhere.....Right-to-Buy, Strikes, etc etc etc.... But, as pointed out before....It WAS definitely the decade for music!
  21. Hmmmmm.... 7 pages in and the name-calling starts. So, because I have firm beliefs you would label me as a "left-wing activist"? Sad, because you normally put together a decent argument....
  22. Whoop whoop! Hell YEAH!!! That way, we can have the rest of the manufacturing sector destroyed and even MORE people claiming benefits. Maybe, just maybe, that NEXT Thatcherite government will make noises about not caring too much about the Falklands, and let the Argies re-invade....Only this time, we may not have the capacity to take them back. Let's go back to those heady days of the 80's where the rich got richer and the poor were marginalised....Oh wait....sounds like 2013! *Many apologies to those whose sarcasm meter has just gone off the scale!*
  23. Both of these are of great interest to me...Thanks @Arthur ...really good find!
  24. I broadly agree with your post....but for the last 14 years (since a big road rage incident....not MINE, I hasten to add!) I have taken the view that a second on the road to let an idiot go, or someone out of a turning is hardly going to make me late/spoil my day! Sometimes, I DON'T let them out....just to be pig-headed...or if they're driving a Beemer!!!
  25. LOL! But I never even put the make of phone in the original post!!! How did you guess???
