I KNOW I am dating myself now, but nothing could ever beat................. Elite Still, for me, the best game there has been. I look forward to the re-boot, but cannot imagine it will ever generate the same feelings in me that the original did. A truly epic game, packed into 48k of Spectrum memory!

Have to say that it took me all of about two minutes to do my orders... Unless I'm missing something? All orders were finalised too! At least it does look like the war won't go past Christmas!!

^^^^^ This is my experience as well! Education sector is very much "do it on the hoof".... There are a myriad of different tasks to do, and only a finite amount of money to do it with. In my current role.... I need something? Talk to a Director and order it! However, being responsible for the WHOLE network ....SOLELY....does bring other pressures! I was used to working in a team of 4....Now it's just me!

LOL!.... The raging hormones were about when the best on offer was Football Manager, Elite, and various other Spectrum/Vic20/Arcade games were available..... Not much to get excited about, other than the gameplay!!! Although.....there was always the imagination aspect of walking into a bar on Lave, as Dangerous, and watching the other traders scuttle away, and leave the best looking ladies behind.... Wait....I think I may have revealed too much about my pubescent self!!!

That must've been it then....I was already in my mid-20's and actually dating girls!!! (That is in no way meant to be disparaging towards anyone, by the way!) I agree that Ms Jolie made a fine example in the films....but still...she's just an avatar!!

I'd have to disagree with you there! Syphon Filter had a faster pace to it, and the puzzles were just as difficult. I found that TR never engaged me in the way SF did. I know that it's all opinion and horses for courses, but I couldn't get into TR. And as for Lara Croft being some kind of pin-up..... :rollseyes:

Am i the only person to be not excited about this? I always found the original, and #2, to be slow-moving, fairly boring 3rd person puzzlers. For the original PS, why have Tomb Raider when you could have Syphon Filter?

Hi @shergill, I've said this before on a number of threads, but I'll say it again! I did the whole career change thing nearly 5 years ago. I was in my late 30's! I was advised to do the A+ to begin with, as this shows employers that you have an aptitude for the work as an IT technician. I was VERY lucky in that I got a 3 month contract with a college, and that just rolled on for a year until they gave me a full contract. At the interview, I was asked if I wanted to only go for the full time job, or the temp job. I made a wise choice of going for either. It paid off for me. My boss told me that he was impressed by my enthusiasm, and that is why I was offered the temp spot. Being conscientious and willing to learn made it easy for them to keep extending the contract. Because of that, I was able to move on and am now the IT Technician for a small business, responsible for pretty much EVERYTHING!. If IT is REALLY where you want to go....Don't let anyone put you off. Try to do a course that suits your mindset. Apply for EVERY job that you can....Some experience is better than none. And above all, if you DO get into the education sector....try to get on with teachers/lecturers, as this will make your life so much easier! Good luck for the future!

+1 for this.... My step-daughter got one earlier this month and it is a fantastic phone (imo)....So much so that I am deffo getting one at the end of my current contract.....Unless I go W8! Or the Galaxy S IV is being shown off in 2 weeks time....that WILL be worth waiting for! (Although I'm not gonna spend THAT much on a phone/contract!!)
