Crikey, witch......That's an appalling day. Don't lose heart, but take a deep breath and think about what you'd do, if your head wasn't frazzled by the events of today. Those will generally be the right things to do, so tomorrow you can go in, refreshed, and do them! Everyone has an off day, as kmount rightly says, but put it behind you, and tell the owner that you will do everything in your power to get his files back. Oh...and kick the cars' bumpers!!!...but then give it a kiss, so it dont let you down again!!

The age old (well, the computer-age old) argument resurfaces again! Mac or PC? Some will love the Mac, others will love the PC......And arguments will always rage! Myself? I prefer anything that's NOT Apple, mainly because I don't like the stranglehold they put on their customers. I could build a PC for half the price that Dell quotes, AND it would be more reliable too! Mind you, I'm still waiting for someone to come on and say how secure Apple stuff is!!!

They are making it FREE to Android users, but with ads....they hope to do an upgrade where you can pay for it to be ad-less! Hope that clears it up!

There is nothing in there that suggests an apology for the "post your warez somewhere else. This is a professional site." slur. That is what I take exception to, and that is what has made me angry.

I saw this earlier and thought.................. Instead of getting people to pledge money, why don't they go to all the major PC marketers and software builders and ask for pledges? I'm pretty sure that Microsoft and Apple probably have a spare million or so rattling around, and as for companies like Dell and HP...... It could be built in next to no time, as opposed to waiting for individuals to cough up!

Some very good points...well made...there, Cesil! I am a meat-eater, and would not go veggie for the world.....I like most types of meat, and am not squeamish about how it is slaughtered. I do think that there is a certain amount of "looking down the nose at" by vegetarians, as they seem to believe that meat-eaters do not care about animal welfare. This is obviously rubbish! I would rather pay more money for decently reared meat than £1.30 for a value chicken from Tesco. You pays your money, you takes your choice. I have eaten vegetarian food (soya in a bolognese) and apart from the excess wind, found that it was very tasty. I certainly wouldn't decry anyone else for wanting to eat it instead of meat! Finally, I also have cats at home, and one of them loves to bring presents in for us....but at least he has the decency to properly kill and then eat them! Oh....and I also support Hunting!!! (So, I shall get ready to dodge the flak!!!)

Agreed! I would not have spent £400 on a phone...but £100 is quite reasonable! Were the Windows phones to come out at that price, then I'd consider it, but not until at least 2012! (Or until I brick my LG, from rooting, and replacing OS!!!)

Agree with that! I still think that rather than have the main menu bar, AND the main menu list on the side, you should perhaps have only one of them.....preferably the bar. The shadow is an optical illusion, methinks!

Well, looking at it dispassionately, you'd have to say yes. Although it's always worth remembering that if a company is doing a webinar, for a product, they are going to make sure that it works perfectly. But, saying that, the presenter had a couple of sticky patches, but mainly with reception, rather than the OS. I would like to see one, up close, before I made any real decisions....but so far....it looks mighty good.

Have to say.......... I've been impressed with what they've said about it, and how it looks. I won't be buying one anytime soon, but I can imagine that in 2 years, when I've had some life out of my new phone, I'd go for Windows Phone 7!

In the middle of the press conf.... Looks very good, except for the whiney, nasally Microsoft voice!!!! Gonna need a proper smartphone for it, though! Could it be an iPhone killer???
