This is ALL good stuff.... But it is really difficult at the mo! 4 days in, and although I have changed my break time ritual, it is still on my mind. It is very hard to break! I gave up for 3 months, a few years ago, and that was using patches. This time, I've gone cold turkey. I did think that this thread would be a magnet for people TRYING to give up, so that we could all support each other, but it's good to know that there are people out there who, even if they gave up a while ago, or never smoked at all, are willing to offer support!

So, who else is doing this then? 4 days in, and I could happily chew the edge of my desk off!!! I'm doing pretty well, most of the time, despite that previous sentence, but I'm just wondering how others are getting on. The wife and I are both going cold turkey and putting all money we save in our joint bank account in a slow and boring effort to save towards a house deposit.

However, a Samsung Galaxy S, running Jelly Bean, is not! My phone ASKS whether I'd like to dial.... "I'm alright, Jack" is, I think, the phrase!!!

Funnily enough....that WAS my first computer! Yayyy!!! This was where my love of computers came from....way back in 82/83 ish!

There are regular updates to the OS, and the dev is more than happy to chat about it. There are loads of people to talk you through the install. Currently, I have a "test" build on my S, but you would never know. It works perfectly! No lag, 240dpi, and improved throughout. I highly recommend rooting and installing this

When I worked in a college, we had a student only domain. This made it simple to track what was happening, and very easy to stay ahead of the games. It meant that once a week I'd scan the server for music, games and video and just delete anything I found. After a couple of months of this, they soon learnt! The number of times I found "Age of Empires II" in folders..... LOL!

I'm guessing that the Apple fans are so overwhelmed with the improvements to the iPhone, that they've been unable to come on here and crow about how good the 5 is? From what I can see, there is minimal actual improvements, other than a widescreen display (catching up on the bigger screen thing), 4G (which will be useful in those 16 cities, but useless elsewhere for the moment!), 2x processing speed, (But NO quad-core????). Working in the office with 2 Apple fans is very hard work today......

I have to say that I was one of those doubters that he has proved wrong. I believed that he would not find the game to take Federer/Nadal or Djorkovic. However, after Wimbledon, it was obvious that he was still improving though I firmly believe that the Olympic gold medal is responsible for this Grand Slam victory. Roared on by the crowd at the Olympics, he produced his best performances to take Novak and Roger without losing a set. The confidence that this would have given him cannot be understated. Congratulations to him on an epic performance!

Yayyyyyy...for the IOC and their all-powerful committee! They really know how to keep everyone involved! I shall now wander off, in my Adidas trainers, to have a McDonalds for lunch, with Coca Cola, paid for with my Visa credit card. First time I watched this particular view, I was amazed..... Second time I watched it, I was doubly amazed at the sportsmanship shown by the Russian coach, and his gymnasts.... Watch after about 21 seconds.... The reaction to the routine. Then watch again at the end. Really nice to see the reactions!

Oh....and to get the thread back on track.... It could be argued that North Korea/ Saudi Arabia, etc, view US (that's us, not the U.S.) as an oppressive regime. As it is only a year since the riots that could have been used on a foreign station to display a government crackdown, or some other propaganda message to suit their needs. The truth can be twisted no matter what country you live in.
