    I remember reading last year that the toolbar would also upload jpg files it found on the users computer and would really slow the computer down it was installed on. Not sure how true this was but it definitely slowed my test machine down by a massive amount.

    Well I have never mentioned GTA to the wife and when I got home she had a lovely present for me. While handing me the game she said' I suppose we will not see you for the next few months.

    I have only skim read this post so sorry if I have missed something. In your first post you say you are trying to map the H drive via GPO. Why are you not using AD users to map the home drive? I have found this to be far better for mapping home drives.

    I take it the 5K was also for hardware along with OS + install costs. Out of interest what server did they get?

    Why? ICO has no issues with it or using Google drive. Although I think Sky drive has an issue with network drives but do not hold me to that as I do not use it.

    I look after single server primary schools (some do have more servers) but they do not have loads of free space on the servers and the offsite backups are charged by file size. Just out of interest how much extra space is consumed when volume shadow copy is enabled?

    Sign up for Google apps for Education Google Apps for Education | Official Website or Office 365 Home I think both have free calendar although I only use GAPPS at my schools which has shared calendars which can have room bookings etc. Both are free.

    is this a single server school? If it is a single server school and they had an old server that was on its last legs they should have set up the new server with a new OS and set that box up as a nice new DC. You now have limited options on the new box.

    Same, even teachers can use it.

    Group policies on the server will have an option to disable offline files across your network although I do remember server 2003 and Win7 do have some kind of offline files issue.

    do you have 'Fine Graines Password' enabled? This is created in the ADSI Edit snap-in and then used by Group policy as a security group. apart from that I have no idea.

    At one of my schools I had some odd issues with Chrome gpo which was strange as it worked 100% at 5 other schools. I then tried the ADM files rather than the ADMX and that seemed to do the trick. Not sure if it will help you though.

    yep. your clients should only get issued the dns ip of the server. Remove the others from dhcp.

    I normally use these Home they are free for schools but site says they are temporerily not selling certs for some reason.

    Last year I found a free software that would make words out of a folder of images but not able to remember the name, sorry.

    On this site look for Home access plus. I use remote desktops server services which gives each user a school desktop.

    The due 13 is not in any shops anywhere around my area. Might wait until next year when the Samsung Ative Q is rumored to finally come out.

    I have 16gb onboard and 64gb sd card in my very old Galaxy S2 Best thing with android is the choice of hardware types.
