They are really useful regardless of pain/mobility issues, saves reaching up to close/open the top window and we don't have to get the fridge freezer out to retrieve a dropped knife/fork/spoon/pound coin. Every household should have at least one.

On the subject of cats. Our new one got out and stayed out until around 11pm last night. I closed off the catflap to stop her escaping again but she had other ideas and removed the "gate" that slides over the flap to shut it and took herself off out. No doubt that will be it until late tonight again!! -

As the weather has cooled somewhat we had the email from on high to say that we are back in uniform from here on in and no more shorts and trainers. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Had an lgfl alert to say that the firewall equipment at one of my schools has reached 78 degrees C!!
