Cool will look into this good idea

Yes Mifare cards are used with photocopiers currently which write back to papercut but there is no write back to active directory in order to populate this into Net2
-
Does anyone know of a system be it hardware or software that would let a user login with their active directory credentials and then self enroll and associate a RFID / Mifare card writing back a value to their active directory account? Background behind this is we have had Paxton Net2 installed with no consideration to how we are going to enroll nearly one thousand users :-( We have Salamander who can create accounts in Paxton but associating 1000 cards as tokens is going to take an eternity. Cheers

Thanks I've just sent you a PM :-)

Good Afternoon, I'm after the best and hopefully most cost effective solution for doing mobile registration on iPad mini's/mobile devices. We have SIMS as our MIS and a few years ago we moved from Emerge (it was painfully slow) to Edulink One. Whilst Edulink One works well we don't use any of the other features (other systems have been bought) so £3000 a year for 20 members of staff to register their students doesn't seem cost effective. I was wondering if there are any other choices cheaper than this that work well? One alternative I need to look into is using RDS app has anyone set this up instead as a viable solution? Thanks

I think you are right. I've just checked and all of the class groups that we get Salamander to create from Sims are populated now in Teams. It kind of now makes SDS a bit pointless especially when that doesn't update anymore with changes and lots of teachers are reporting its not provisioning Teams for them automatically as per this "update" https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/whats-new-with-school-data-sync

Really strange this, today I've looked on Teams again and for some reason today I see our universal distribution groups to add as members when I'm sure they weren't before. I really don't get Teams and what groups it allows to see from on prem. At least that saves me a job. Thanks for your suggestion though. Cheers

Good Morning all, We use SDS to create our classes on Teams which is great but now I've been asked how to add one big Team that has all our staff in. Our on prem security and distribution groups synced via Azure AD don't show up in Teams so I'm wondering what is the easiest way of doing this? Thanks

What're people using for their Hyper-V hosts?

Sounds like a nice setup, if all your storage is local if a server failed for any reason what would be the backup? -
Teams SDS adding Classes/Sections that you are not the teacher of?
lmgtfy replied to lmgtfy's topic in Cloud Services
Thanks everyone. In the end I edited the SDS CSV to add the teacher in question to all groups of the subject in question. Seems to work okay. Cheers -
I am really hoping there is someone who knows the answer to this question. We are pretty new to the whole SDS thing and a teacher asked how do I make a Team for multiple classes if I do not teach them, for example they want one for Maths and to add all year 7 classes. I say easy just go to add members and add the class/section. But no it can't be this easy it says 0 members will be added. Surely its possible to do this? The only other way I thought of doing it would be to make a Team and then send out an invite code to the students but seems a bit silly. Thanks everyone Stay safe

I've also noticed this but I guess Impero can't control how and when the extension is loaded in Chrome. @Courtney_Impero is there anything that can be done for this? Thanks
-
The problem we have is that its intermittent so testing is not easy
-
Did you ever resolve this problem @talksr as we are having a similar issue. Cheers
-
I know this is a really old thread but did anyone get to the bottom of this. We are having the same issues with Powerpoint 2016 on Windows 10. Never had an issue before on Windows 7 with Office 2010. Cheers
-
Can't believe its 2019 and we are still having to upload staff manually and then delete them when they've left what a joke! Has anyone automated this using a report in Sims and then some excel sheet for the upload? Cheers

I'm interested in this, just wondering what would you recommend? -
Very interested in this project @localzuk can you let me know the exact model number of the Acer Flip 511 as I'd love to get a demo one in to have a play also. Have you bought your demo's or have you been loaned due to the high quantities you are looking at? Cheers
-
@nickbro I'm not sure about the above, can you help at all?
-
@nickbro I second this I would love to see if there is a way to sort this out. Cheers

It will be something to do with the XML file Fog won't be the cause of this one. Start with just the stock XML file and see if that deploys okay and then work back. Good luck :-)

Your right its down for me too!
