I would push back and ask why you can't have the patch.
-
If it helps our problem has still been resolved since applying this patch so that's at least two confirmed schools with Tefters and mine.
-
Thanks so much @Tefters for your help. I applied the patch and touch wood today no reported issues [emoji3] You've saved me a lot of time and stress [emoji106]

That's brilliant, thanks so much. Yes please a patch number would be very helpful indeed.

We're having the same issue now we've applied the Summer update and after returning to the new term. Did you manage to get this fixed in the end please?
-
I had a similar issue. The ldf was so big during the upgrade it filled the drive and it ran out of space during the upgrade. I rolled the VM back and upped the drive size but again it failed. Not knowing why I looked in the log and by luck saw it was taking over 30 minutes to deploy and SOLUS was the rolling back the install. In the end after changing the timeout in SOLUS the database update took 32 mins so I got very unlucky. Hoping this helps someone out. Cheers

Thanks Andy, I like it for an office environment for sure. What I would love and what I think would be a massive seller for schools if you can get it in the right price point is an updated better looking flex slim. The flex slim has so much going for it in terms of lockable backcover, cable management, integrated PSU, height adjustability, uses standard components etc. It could just do with looking a bit sexier as it has been out for a while now. Thanks

How strange that they can give a patch directly. I wonder exactly what it does. -

Thanks for this information we're having the same issues. To confirm is 28870 a Sims patch? -
Be interesting if we all put the times here as I feel 15 minute is somewhat optimistic 10.53am is the time on the reported screenshot to us.

We've had the same and have heard reports from other schools in our trust. Unbelievable that they've not pressed a central button to disable everyone. Telling schools to individually disable access is not enough. How long have they known about the issue and have chosen to ignore it. Also a company without a status page in this day and age is madness. Ok rant over for a minute.

If you go to Tools, Setups, Partner Plugins. You can then remove the TeamSOS.
-
It is possible to remove. It's somewhere in the Sims setup menu. If you can't find it let me know and I'll dig out what I did tomorrow.

Hi Stephen, Any chance you can share on here or via PM the full command line script as I can't seem to be able to download the dependencies needed for AirServer to install. Thanks

Thanks for this, it's the first I've heard of this. I don't recall any email unless I've missed it [emoji1743] -
Interesting idea thanks, I'll have to look into this.

I think we could be spending thousands to try and put a system in place to do this properly. The cheap way is write your name down on a list or slightly more advanced scan a QR code to a MS form and put your name in but it seems a like a lot of admin for someone to go through.

I was wondering if anyone has a system in place to digitally record staff meeting attendance please? Staff would need to scan ideally their miFare ID cards at the door and the system record who has attended. We currently have InVentry but I cant think of how this would be setup to work with the existing solution we have. The only other system I can think of is running something like https://signinapp.com/features/sign-in-app-tap/ along side. Thanks

Good Morning, Has anyone else experienced a funny bug with the latest version of Teams 1.6.00.26474? The bug is no office files will open in their associated program. So if you go to Files find a Excel sheet and click open in app the box comes up Opening Excel but nothing happens. In files if you click Open in SharePoint a dialog box pops up very quickly then goes away again. I'm finding it difficult to work out what is causing the issue apart from the Teams version. If I go back to a previous version 1.6.00.22378 the problem goes away but quickly Teams is automatically updated and the problem returns. The issue exists on all of the computers across the network apart from ones that have not been imaged with our standard image so it does seem software dependent? I've found a few people that have the same issue so at least we're not alone but wondered if anyone could checks there's please? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/please-help-me-troubleshoot-opening-files-in-the/29c4410b-979e-4286-854f-2eb450ac336f Thanks

This would help with the issue we've had yes. But if it was down to me I'd block staff from creating any team.
-
This is just to do with stopping creation of public Teams and not private Teams. You can fairly easily turn of Team creation for all without a special licence as far as I'm aware.
-
Thanks everyone for your comments. It looks like you can only turn off creating public teams with the use of an E5 licence so that is that out of the window. We may have to go down the route of blocking all staff from creating Teams. Thanks
-
I was wondering who let's their staff create Teams vs who doesn't. We've recent had an issue where a public team was made as opposed to private. I've seen you can potentially lock this down now so no public teams are allowed but just wondered the spilt. Thanks

Good Morning, I was just wondering if any other schools use Iris Reach? We were automatically migrated over from Truancy Call early this year and ever since have had a number of issues. The main issue for us are voice messages often don't play at all or fully which is a major issue as its one of the main parts of the system. We've attempted to phone for support but often get the same answer which is to clear the browser cache. This sometimes fixes the issue for a few minutes but often the problem persists on multiple computers even trying from home I have the same issue. I was just checking to see if we're the only ones with this issue? Thanks

Thanks for your help. I've checked and yes 300 users for creating assignments. Cheers
