  1. I can recommend the Epson EB-L630U projector. It's 6200 lumen and laser. You can get it for less than £2500 including a 5 year on-site warranty. https://www.projectorpoint.co.uk/epson-eb-l630u?utm_term=epson%20eb-l630&utm_campaign=Epson+Business&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=2198859800&hsa_cam=1601666824&hsa_grp=127736964619&hsa_ad=582527314941&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-1428071824793&hsa_kw=epson%20eb-l630&hsa_mt=e&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1vSZBhDuARIsAKZlijT2J6nDfzVwXFShEeFK463SIYpTNbdzqefFZ0u8VA0TsSXEAKcxGUYaAhMKEALw_wcB
  2. Good Morning all, Does anyone know how updates on Office LTSC 2021 actually work? From looking online people say it does it automatically over the internet but has anyone seen this working in practice? I don't fancy coming in one day with our internet grinded to a halt and people unable to use Office as all workstations are updating so was wondering what to do? I see in group policy there is a update channel you can set to semi-annual enterprise channel but still I'm not really any the wiser. I have googled it but information is limited from what I can find. The only references I can find is using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager but I don't really want to set this up just for Office. https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/OfficeDocs-DeployOffice/blob/live/DeployOffice/ltsc2021/update.md Hoping someone here knows and has this working already :-) Many Thanks
  3. Many thanks for the suggestion. I should have added ideally it would work with our existing desktop setups in the rooms. I guess a Windows tablet would work but then I have to work out how to get this to wireless link to our projectors in each location :-)
  4. I have been asked to look into options that can be used in our meeting and performance areas. A presenter would use a device that would allow them to not only advance slides but see a preview of the current slide and notes on it. The best option would probably be a second monitor with keyboard and mouse but they want a portal device that can be used on a podium and lectern. Also getting a second monitor and power to the lectern would be difficult. There are a few apps available for an iPad or Android tablet that we could use such as https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/clicker-presentation-remote/id1463878246 but I was wondering if anyone already uses something similar or a bought solution that would do what we are after? Many Thanks
  5. Have a look at rclone it might do what your after [emoji106] https://rclone.org/googlephotos/
  6. Just wondering if you made any progress into this as we are looking at a similar setup. Thanks
  7. No issues with Ricoh in our school. Had them for nearly 5 years now and just finalising a new contract term with them. Our whole trust uses them and our account manager has 20 or so trusts on his book so they are widely used. Supply is an issue at the minute so your likely be looking at 6 months plus in lead times but that might the same with many manufactures given the global issues.
  8. Did you get anywhere with this? They are trying to pull the same trick with us insisting on a 6 month written termination. I asked them for proof that we signed a contract stating this and they are saying that they are all working from home so are unable to provide this!
  9. Thanks for your suggestions, I guess either is possible. At this point I will just leave it how it is and wait for YouTube to hopefully fix it properly at their end. Cheers
  10. Many thanks for trying for me. For us its so inconsistent sometimes its works sometimes it doesn't. I even made a video so you don't think I'm mad haha
  11. This definitely seems to fix it but only half of the time for us. Is anyone able to test if its just us this happens to please? After the reg fix sometimes YouTube opens up the correct link and other times it opens the "Your browser is up to date" page. The first time more often than not it works ok but if you click the link again more often than not it doesn't work. All very strange indeed. Thought I had it fixed until I clicked on it a few times. Cheers
  12. We have a load of magicard stuff and find it not bad. Isn't resolution and speed comparable to similar priced units? The best thing I've found with magicard is their customer service. We've had a unit 7 years old that they sent out free parts for repair on.
  13. The indexing is used just for advanced reports and speeds up searching in a backup I believe. We don't have it on as it tends to add a lot of time to the backups for us. You can still do single file level restores without it.
  14. I'd put money on your external internet connection being the issue here most likely to do with QOS. I don't know a lot about ringcentral but I presume it's all cloud based so it makes sense internal calls would have the same issues as they'd still rely on your external connection I presume unless you have some sort of SBC onsite. Hope this helps
  15. No limits in terms of users, you can have multiple tenants if you want. Basic cost of a NAS and drives really, just check here for compatible models https://www.synology.com/en-uk/dsm/packages/ActiveBackup-Office365
  16. Yes synology is great everything you need. I can't think of a cheaper solution.
  17. The HPE OfficeConnect Switch 1820 24G PoE+ is quieter than most computers. It only has 12 ports of POE+ but is a great switch. They do a 48 port POE version but it does have a louder fan nothing like the Aruba's mind. https://www.comms-express.com/products/hpe-j9983a-officeconnect-1820-24g-poe-switch//?keyword=&campaign=332060357&ad=109518688929&ADtype=&Productcode=&gclid=CjwKCAiA24SPBhB0EiwAjBgkhisqTY_lMbqYFTR-fVKlT_R776Fvdt7EmsirryJ9Z7cASm5jbbUmiBoCkhwQAvD_BwE The whole 1820 range is very good and quiet. We use it in classrooms and can't fault it.
  18. Doesn't ICT always get the blame no matter how incompetent the staff are? Sorry our teams live event had no sound we had technical issues = I can't plug in my webcam into a usb socket
  19. Sounds good thanks for the extra info
  20. Haha I did Google it but found the results over complicated but it seems it is potentially quite complicated to get into after you kindly explained it. Thanks anyway for your help.
  21. Do you have any more info on this sounds interesting [emoji1303] thanks
  22. Sounds good, are you able to expand on what you have setup?
  23. Can I ask which model of the Aurba AP's you've ordered and how much you paid roughly? Have you had a chance to play with them yet? Cheers
  24. Its been like this for years. Instead of a simple message like "check you have accepted your initiation" or "no pathway set contact your Sims admin" they just present a blank screen which is useful for no one. Thanks Capita!
  25. No the Instant On Stuff I don't use, I just use as a traditional switch. Prices very comparable to the Ubiquity switches.
