Available Microsoft Updates Not Appearing In SCCM Software Center
ChrisH replied to Fazza's topic in Enterprise Software
Have you checked them under monitoring to see if they show a client checked passed/active state? The big one that breaks this is a conflicting GPO for WSUS settings. Also as usual it seems to do things when it wants a lot and not when prompted by run manually clicking on the scans in the control panel. -
Sorry same as Caffrey is referring to.
-
We had exactly the same issues and that was all I needed to add to get it to go online, facebook and such are still blocked.
-
We had this last week the culprit is *.cc-propeller.com believe it or not!
-
We used Millgate, you will find most companies are similar in price for quotes but the difference is the companies having someone there who is trained and who you can respond to vs them using a third party and you getting all the information second hand.

I would take the opportunity to update your image with the new Office as it tends to get its tentacles into everything and doesn't go quietly.

I have decided to take the plunge with the Tado as it's cheaper to get started than the likes of the Honeywell (Starter kit discounted to at the moment) and a recommendation from a tight Yorkshireman is praise indeed .
-
I've looked at this a few times and keep coming back to systems like the Honeywell Evohome and similar. We live in a 3 storey house and it's always cold on the ground floor compared to the other 2 floors so I wanted the floors breaking down into heating zones. These type of systems allow control of the separate radiator valves with some kind of boiler switch and controller. Some of these systems are a bit limited but can do more of what you want with triggers etc if they support IFTTT and that leads to integration with Google Home etc.

[sims] Error. Could not open macro storage. Office 2016. Works for Admin

Got it, it was the allow trusted locations on the network that I was missing, should have been an obvious one to add! -

Did you have any luck with this, I have tried both the suggestions but still getting the error with W10/O2016? -
Office 365 - Dealing with DirSync errors for a few users

Got there in the end, still had conflicts so I had to delete the users from the recycle bin then everything was fine. -
Office 365 - Dealing with DirSync errors for a few users
ChrisH replied to ChrisH's topic in Cloud Services
Thanks I tried matching the attributes but that was the issue they were conflicting. I have now removed the conflicting values so there was no sync error. I then managed to filter out the users and they have finally been deleted on another sync. I will now fix them up properly and hopefully they will sync and merge with the cloud account *fingers crossed*. -
I have 3 users that are in conflict after using AD connect, these 3 users seemed to escape the changing of their UPNs that everyone else happily accepted. These accounts are now duplicated with one being synced with Active Directory and using an onmicrosoft address and the other is the original cloud user with the correct UPN. Dirsync errors are with duplicate UPNs and proxy addresses. How do I go about cleaning this up? I tried deselecting the affected OU with the handful of users in and doing a sync but the users remain in both forms. Any help greatly appreciated. Chris

KS2 Question Level Analysis
ChrisH replied to ChrisH's topic in Data Managers's Data Managers Topics
Thanks I got there in the end, the link was not on the tab on the account I was using, when I looked at the user group assignment there was no way to change the RAISE group it was assigned to. I had to make a new user name and make it a named user, but even then it took an hour or so until the import link appeared after repeated trying. -
Might not be server grade NICs?
-
I've been asked for the key stage 2 question level analysis, when I go on the Raise replacement (Analyse school performance) under secure access it is asking a named user to sign in and upload the UPNs. Anyone any idea where because this new very basic website has no forms at all! Can I get this information from elsewhere?

I think with a camera connected to a 100 meg port at HD resolution it is usually about 8-10% on ours so it isn't noticeable on the back bone (currently a gig). We have about 30 cameras but I do try and run them back to the NVR as we have them spread around in secure locations.

I struggle to find suitable games for my 7 year old for the X Box one, once you've played all the Lego games! Good job she likes Minecraft! She prefers to play some arcade games with me on my emulator setup most of the time.
-
With the Hikvision it will have a number of ports it supports and these can usually be a physical port or a network connected camera, so say it is 8 physical ports it can connect a combination of 4 direct and 4 through the network. Check the particular models though!

I'm trying to deploy MineCraft Education to our computers, this is the MS AppX version. I have downloaded the zip file which is the batch file that fires off the Powershell script to install it. Now if I manually do this from the local computer I have no problems. If I try it from a network share it doesn't work and starts moaning about paths as for some reason it seems to append /files to the path twice. That's fine I could try and fix that, but with pushd "%~dp0" in there I didn't think it would be an issue. I dropped the Powershell execution policy right down, but these are signed anyway so should be fine. I tried deploying the APPX bundle on their own, which is something I've never had to do before and it worked but now Minecraft won't work as it starts then goes off and the error in the log is about a CLIP license not available. I see the license in the install folder and I see reference to the file in the Powershell commands, but can't see anyway of applying it through the SCCM deployment. I also don't like the fact that using this method, the shortcut doesn't get advertised to the user either until the CM client wakes up and installs it for the local profile. Can anyone shed any light on this? PS private store etc, is not an option at this time.

Minecraft for Education emails linked to private email address!
ChrisH replied to steven_layton_sl's topic in Cloud Services
Are they the recovery emails for the accounts? -
I use timetabler as well, because it's easier for me to visualise things when placing lessons, as I can see what classes/blocks are what and I don't have to hover over things all the time.

I'm getting very intermittent issues with the users groups being defined on the CLEO lightspeed, can we use the new LMA user agent or not I can't find anywhere which says what version the filter is? Edit I found mention of Longhorn on the BTLS site so we should be able to use the new LMA.
