Yeah, it's basically a simple wooden frame with a hole through the top for power and networking, the front is clear acrylic screwed into place in 10 places around the frame. The machine is pretty old, DDR2, don't remember the processor off hand one of the earlier intel chips from 2004/2005 I would guess. It has actually just died sadly after over 4 years in service, I haven't looked into the fault but would likely upgrade it anyway. If you are thinking of making your own (or if I were to help do it again) I would suggest you make it deep enough so that the fans are behind the screen, drill some holes through it and put a mesh on the inside. Also drill vent holes in the sides as this machine ran hot at around 50-60C CPU temp. I would consider adding a touch screen as well and making it interactive, buttons on the screen that ejects the DVD Drive, writes data to the disc/usb drive (provided they have visible lights/moving parts), that sort of thing.

I've been on prime basically since it was released, I think it's worth it for the next day delivery alone and now they have added various other products to it as well.

The thing is that the benefits of EES don't just apply to licensing, free personal and work at home office licenses for staff and students is another, plus licensing for various pieces of software are also included though this depends on your agreement. It's a very easy sell in my view given the total benefits, though I suppose it depends how regularly you buy licenses.

Well that feature list just confirms that the Education license is effectively just a rebranded Enterprise. I have no idea what purpose it has other than that. Sure you can't use the LSB on the Education version but other than that it's just a needless addition to their licensing plans.

This was to be expected once they started offering reservations, you can't fulfil that number of downloads at the same time.

We run a biennial Sky trip, no idea how much it costs but we normally get around 20-30 people signed up so it can't be that expensive. I guess with all these things you have to just consider the area you are in and how the price will impact signing up, clearly £1650 is too high for pretty much the entire student body and their families. I guess you would have to look at the trips they have run in the past to see how unreasonable it really was.

Rides being stopped for small periods of time is just in the nature of rollercoasters, it's expected in they day to day running so I agree this really isn't news. It's only being reported because of the crash. You could take any theme park in the world on any given day and something would have to be stopped. Sure you might get some days where nothing stops but that would be the exception, not the rule.

You could turn them into some sort of display? Use the front as white and the back as black you could create some pixel art with them, get the art department involved. Alternatively you could make a live display with windows cut into the drives so you can see the arm moving, me and the head of IT here put this together a few years ago, sadly I couldn't get the cut away drive to work properly, but that was old IDE drive.

Almost certainly wont be true, 10158/10159 are good builds, but they still have issues that would need to be addressed before RTM, 10159 has only existed for 3 days including internal testing, so 10160 is even younger than that.

I always tell my ISP (Sky) that I'm considering leaving because I can get the same product cheaper at X rival company, even if I'm not looking for a discount and am ringing up for something else, they often just half price my broadband for 12 months.

Provided they ship the ISO at the same time, or you can probably* make an ISO once the update is downloaded then you should only need to download it the once. *Just an assumption, they haven't been clear on this yet.

Nothing really changes for IT, you wont specifically be inspected and potentially will never meet or see an inspector. Just be ready for the staff to lose their minds and forget how to do everything.

Somewhat, WiDi is Intel's branded version of Miracast, so they are (or should be) compatible. However the Intel implementation seems to require the software and drivers to work whereas the traditional Miracast model seems to work out of the box. Windows 8.1 for example supports Miracast straight up, but not WiDi. It's a bit confusing, Intel really didn't need to go ahead with WiDi it just confuses consumers. Plus the real irony is that WiDi is supposed to mean that Intel have tested the device and it is now certified to be good at making stable connections for screen sharing, clearly not the case.

Surface Pro's don't have Intel wireless chips, so can't use WiDi. It will be connecting with Miracast.
