It's a bit like the old joke," how do you double the price of a skoda, ...fill it up with petrol." So how do you double or even treble the price of a colour laser, ...fill it up with toner. As a quick guide the smaller and cheaper the printer is, the more expensive the toner usually turns out to be. Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly like inkjets (for all their cartridge problems) but they work out a lot cheaper, unless you intend to print out loads of colour pages. A good color laser + plus full toners could set you back £200-300. Fine if you have the money and loads to print.

Sorry, you may have similar symptoms and this may fix this for you in your case, but I don't think this is the same as my problem. I've had now had 15 out of 35 PSU's replaced in this model of PC. In every case it has fixed the problem 100% so can't be anything to do with capacitors on a motherboard.

If you search on the forum you'll find a few comments about these. From what I remember the speakers aren't up to much, but apart from that they seem ok. We demoed one and all the staff liked it. The glare wasn't too bad from the students point of view but being close to the screen sometimes proved a bit tricky in terms of glare. It depends where your windows are I guess.

Don't use them! You might be alright but I have found them unreliable, long waits and sometimes orders not arriving and bad support. I would recommend Wallis Uk. Cheap prices and great support if things go wrong, plus a couple of free chocolate bars in every order. If that doesn't seal the deal I don't know what will.

Solved it. I upgraded to v 1.1.1 and it all started working, so it was either the fact that I reinstalled or something in the new version fixed it.

Another interesting stat or stats, only teams from South America and Europe have won the world cup in the 19 world cups held so far. Only once has a team from these two continents won in the opposite continent, that being Brazil's win in Sweden in 1958 in the great era of Brazilian football. So the chances are a south American team will win the world cup this time round. I'm not sure about Brazil this time round, but Argentina could be a good bet or Chile as a dark horse.

Hello Vida, I'm from Seaford, not too far away from "Hove actually" as some people call it.

Also other non-technical tips that have helped us along the way : Label the chargers with the laptop computer name. Yes, some staff will accidentally swap them with colleagues, but most will keep hold of their own and when they leave them lying around the owner will be easier to trace. Also if you have several different model's of laptops (we do now, as the fleet has got bigger) you'll know what model the charger belongs to. Obviously get some spare chargers to loan out and a few spare laptops as well and then keep a log of who has borrowed what. Quite often the chargers won't make their way back, so you'll have to chase them. If someone keeps doing this over a course of time you'll have a recorded history that you can past up to SLT and say "this person is losing chargers and costing us money" Help guide. Put some sort of help guide on their desktop. Keep it short and concise (although they probably won't read it anyway) and make it read only. Then when you hand them out you don't have to blurt out random things out that you remember at the time. Just say sign this form and remember to read the help guide. (They won't, but you can throw it back at them later) Software. I had to install various software for different departments on the same image. To simplify it, I put a "teachers software" folder on their desktop and this contained everything they needed (shortcuts etc.) and then make it read only. They can then drag their favourite icons on to the desktop if they wish. Also make sure you have extra spare laptops at this time of year. If anywhere else is like this place, you'll find new staff want to start before the old staff have left, leaving you with a shortfall of laptops :-p and the ones on maternity also won't give up their laptops so that could be another reason for a shortfall.

Also got so fed up of walking into classrooms and pressing windows key + P, so on the staff laptop image I put a shortcut to batch file on their desktop that forces the duplicate option. It helps reduce it a bit.

Just to balance things, we've had staff laptops for over 3 years now and have about 100 in total. I was dreading it, but we've only lost 2 whole laptops in that time. Yes there have been numerous repairs, but not as bad as I was expecting. The number one fault is probably usb ports getting busted, but I just break the port off and make them cope with the remaining ports. They have to lose 2 ports before I change a MB.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question. I've read the Netflix T&C's and it seems to be unclear. There are various posts on the net from the US that say you can but it's a bit of a grey area and anyway it might be different over there. Anyone in the UK know the answer to this, is it legal?

Actually it is quite an illogical bike and that makes it harder to work out. 1) When you're toggling between two options it is the steady option that is the current selection and not the flashing option?? 2) When you're racing to keep up with the indicated rpm a arrow appears pointing down?? 3) The distance monitor goes up to 1km and then goes back to zero?? 4) There are 7 preset games but in my opinion level 3 is harder than level 2?? Who designs these things?

In the past I've brought a pair of usb to Ethernet adapters (about £7 from amazon) they can go up to 30m in length. They are for usb v1.1 but may not matter in this case. If you got a reel of Ethernet hanging around it might be worth a punt?
