We have UPSs on some cabinets which power our POE Paxton doors. Saves having a battery on each door and can be monitored easier.

I think you need to import the default templates in to Windows 10. I can send you my MDT script tomorrow if needed.

Factor in your time producing it, cost effective of software to print it. Cost of printer. It all adds up.

Yes we do here, doors, cashless catering, library and printing. We charge £5 for a whole ID card (Card, holder & Lanyard). SLT didn't like it to start with but it's working really well. We don't put students photo's on the ID cards, just name and year of entry.

We're in a very simular position and as the network manager I can't give you exact reasons why, but we have Bromcom currently in the lead and it seems to be down to more flexibility in the product. Especially around assessment. My personal view is Arbor have a very polish product, much like Apple. If how you work fits with how it expects you to work you'll get on very well. However if you want more flexibility, Bromcom while not as polished gives you this, like Windows. I do fear Bromcom could become another Capita winning a lot of contracts and then not needing to try any more, but lets see. Have plenty of demos, involve as many people as you can in them. No MIS is perfect but you want everyone to agree on which is the best fit for your school.

Could you use a rule to PersonA@ to the Cc or To field of any emails sent to CovidAlert@ ? Allowing the email to go to the mailbox as normal and not be forwarded. Or could you just setup the email as a share mailbox and give the person/s dealing with it access.

Our DT teachers found the same issue and has pretty much given up now as Autodesk Support just won't change or confirm then as educational accounts.

To add my thoughts to this which hopefully sit in the middle. We decrypt and inspect all staff, students and guest whether on school devices or school BYOD. However we have a lettings guest network with only basic filtering and monitoring Our reason for this is we believe all school guests are invited in to our school environment. It's our duty to protect those students. A good percentage of our guests will work with students. So why shouldn't they be monitored the same as staff or the student themselves. Lettings however are not in our school environment. They simply use our buildings and thus its up to them to protect there users. Even if that's with our own students. Ultimately, it's down to each school to measure the risk and put in place what they see fit. Personally I don't want to be asked 'What did guest A do while onsite today' and not be able to answer. However it comes at a cost of management time and supporting guests in connecting (At which point they agree to being monitored)

Try without a roaming profile. You really need to move away from them but it might be the only issue.

We have it on it's own VLAN and use Radius via our Smoothwall for authentication. We have a Unifi AP wireless system. I create AD accounts for guests so they can login. However from a filtering point of view it's the same as the main network. Smoothwall still knows who you are and filters as need be.

Is anyone else finding it creating multiple copies in the webdeploy>production folder. You can manually delete them all apart from the first and last but no matter what update method I use it seems to do this. Filling up our SSD drives over time.

I can see that working but if the person is moving around you can't get it to track them.

I found our 'Happy' UPS which passed self tests, had a battery in it that had expanded so much, we had to use a lump hammer and crow bar to get it out! The battery had a big hole in the side in the end which it had welded itself to the case side. Had to 'persuade' the rack mount UPS case back in to shape before refitting the new batteries.

Just be careful when storing numbers in AD if you then sync them to Office 365. Especially if you use a field like pager or phone number as it's visible to all.

Interesting, when I asked our reseller who then asked Microsoft before summer (When we rolled out O365) they confirmed DBA wasn't an option for us. As far as Shared Activation goes, other than enabling it during the SCCT MSI build process, we've not done anything special. We've not hit any activation limits and our staff are moving round quite a bit. Basically its been very painless and other than a couple of machines failing to login to Office 365 currently (Which seemed to be machines we'd messed with account settings on for Office 2016) these just required a manual sign out in O365 and then back in again.

DBA can only be used on EES customers, not OVES which most schools are. We are Shared Account Activation as so long as the machine is Azure AD join, it just works. No issues with licensing.

Check your SPF record has Office 365 as a trusted source. You'll need to write a custom record to have both Office 365 and you exchange server IP I guess. This is coming from someone who has only used Office 365 so take with a pinch of salt.

SDL here using A1 Plus on all staff and students. Only visitor accounts or exam students accounts are an issue. However I was told student A1 Plus licences could be used to cover these one off accounts.
