Having not done nothing last night i decided to finish this off as it was bugging me 99% finished now Server status working in realtime Login Tracker working as well . Just need to now add the resources per subject . The only subjects that have given me resources are ART and ICT lol

Due to the lack of any one bothering me today .. i was able to get the rest working except the individual departments resources which will be a sinch to do i now have a working server ping monitor .. also display my logintracker results Thinking about removing Google search and replacing with some sort of scrolling RSS feed ticker for our school news

Any recomendations ? For the art department Needs to have ethernet . Needs to be Inkjet. Also needs to be able to scan Via the network interface as well . Would prefer cheap as possible . But will pay higher if the Ink is cheaper

tried out the italc2 canditdate today any one elise having the following problems ? No lock screen - instead of a padlock it just shows the desktop background and the only way out is to logoff user logon - on the original beta2 they had multi logon which never worked , but is now missing show demo - does what the lock screen does . We are running XP btw with all the latest updates

Got a bit of a problem here . We have 4 USB printers for the art department they have 11 laptops on a domain , running XP i installed all the printer software but if they decide to shove the printer in a diff port that i didnt use to install the printer on it asks for it to be installed again with the admin username and password . Whats the easiest way to sort this ? Many thanks Luke

can you remote in with software , login to the machine and then see what happens. Looks like a driver corruption if it does it at the windows splash screen

i use shutdownatron all the time . On some machines it can be a bit buggy sometimes and hang the machine . Another way is create a Bat to send a RPC shutdown and schedule it on the server

Allowing Students Access to email Outside of school. We have exchange and exchange OWA atm i currently have it set so students cant access there email via this way , they can only use the local clients with outlook 2003 What are the possible reason to not allow children access to mail ? im thinking out of school bulling etc?

i have done it a few times . Dont use phpmyadmin to make a backup of the database 1.) use mysql administrator GUI to make a copy of the schema 2.) copy the folder for joomla 3.) restore with mysql administrator and copy back the folder Edit the config file in joomla folder to match the correct username and passwords for the new server/mysql. I think wamp/xamp uses a blank password for root so you may wanna change that . If this is a production server may i suggest installing apache/mysql/php properly

is the NAS binded to AD , and the correct security groups been put in place ? that could be your issue . or maybe its because you have a _ in the foldername

has any one found out to put on 'uploaded content' manualy. I would much rather just drag and drop files into the library .. But im asuming i have to edit some bits in SQL to do this ?

How much would you guys pay for the following (in one complete package) Website Design/hosting ( Joomla Template + design + school logo + basic content) Vle Design/Hosting ( Moodle VLE + design + basic course setup) Exchange 2010 Email hosting ( plus free spam filtering) Proxy server web filter ( also the ability to add websites to block list) If some one was to offer these servers for primary + secondary schools how much would some one charge per year ? Any other services that i could setup to allow a more full package ?

changed the update to 3 secs . I opened the client then closed it after 10 secs and then it recieves updates Many thanks for your help !

Btw i am using windows7 to run the client software after i ALt-F4 the client . it says this program has caused a error . I also had a test server 2003 which i run the client software on and it said the same thing

how often does the client checkin ? i keep restarting the client ( cloising with alt-f4)
