What a Great tool !! having been waiting for italc to actually makes a version that doesnt crash when using the full features of the program , decided to have a trial of AB tutor . Other than being one of the cheapest for us , its actually very very good .. So good infact im gonna purchase it . Dont bother waiting for italc guys ,, its always going to be buggy ! . ABTutor is Great , every feature works and i love how easy it is . Policy making is great . For e.g. i can make all the machines only able to access the VLE instead of the web !. Made some custom Lock screens and applied buttons to the teachers GUI . Great stuff !

I Love MRBS I have mine double protected , I use apache and have a HTACCESS authenticated against AD (staff OU) ( stops the children viewing the room data) I also have it setup in the MRBS config to authenticate with AD to allow staff to login . I also have mine setup for periods , was very easy to change I will also echo the comment above to make sure everything is put on before deploying this .

conflicting channels ? im thinking of buying 3 of these and an additional 10 AP's to add to our 10 How are they apart from this issue ? -
The latest version did the same with me on my xp clients . Version before was ok . theres quite a few problems with it on XP so i gave up using it , i waited a year for a workable copy where everything works

Cant really see the need for rollers on a desktop server , especially if the case has rear doors . I 100% think this will be the right option ! Many thanks
-
thanks all for your help . So basically looking at your pics cybernerd , they are just standard shelfs for a rack case . I could adjust them to any height i wanted i spose 1u-4u . I spose now the question is finding the correct rack case , with the correct depth with a load of these shelfs in !
-
Any recomendations ? All our servers are desktops , all are pretty new . Ideally instead of replacing hardware would like to buy a new rack cabinet with maybe some shelfs for 6 desktop servers ? Whats the best shop to buy these from , and also are the ones with fans & sound proof actually going to keep the servers cool & quiet ?

Nope on a file server on a seperate partition , was used as an example. But this was a bit of a stupid question as i should have known the answer but was a nackard that day

Hi guys, hopefully some one might have done this recently. Basically we want a screen and projector mounted in the hall (going to go for a rear projection setup) Wiring side of it is fine as i can do that (power can be out sourced) The thing that has me confused is what sort of Mounts can be purchased for an electric projector screen. We need to drop it from the ceiling probably around 4 foot. Can you purchase some sort of pole? Like whats used on the actual projector ? Any one got pictures of a similar setup ? Many thanks

Decided to install it on the DB server . seemed to have gone on/installed ok .. installed the client , and tried to run the config tool and it wont let me login . just says invalid login The actual discover client software ( not the config) says unknown error on opening below the input box's Does the software require a reboot after installtion for it to work ? Ive noticed theres a scheduled task that runs at 1am , it says it has ran already . Any services i should reboot ? or anything like that Many thanks Luke

I must say i didnt experience any of this because i manually edited it all in the xml file. Only a suggestion Nick , But why have a setup page for easy editing ? this surley means a lot more work for you . And any one who should be supporting this should be able to edit the XML. -
Just another bug btw for your next revision . When you use the anouncement . After you save , the anouncement covers the logoff button .

Im using II6 it says on your install instructions . set the hap folders IIS_wpg to Read and execute Under this it says App_data folder : set to read and write . I assumed this meant set the user iis_wpg under the app_data folder to have write permissions
-
same error as i had first ? i reinstalled in the HAP directory Also gave iis_wpg write permissions on the app_data folder

I have v7 installed . I used the upgrade files from v7.1 ** EDIT** Using the upgraded files did not work , but a clean install did . This update has fixed all problems !! .. But i am experiencing slowness when deleteing files using the extended version , when i hit delete on a file it freezes the browser for a bit but does eventually delete .
-
Nick seem to be having a problem with the new update . I assume i just replace the 3 dll's with the ones in the update ? When i login i get the following error
-
Nick despite the errors , HAP has came a long way ! i love the look of it now , its also a lot faster Well done , And Thank you for keeping it FREE ! as my school loves it !

With OEM machines you need the appropriate OEM disc from that manfacture i believe . Not sure if XP uses SLIC like Vista and 7 , but windows 7 for example allows the use of a NON oem disc providing it has SLIC information in the Bios.

Ok heres a summary as to whats not working nick to help you out ( im running IIS6). Using the Drag and Drop Feature it states that the file extension is not allowed for any file i copy to it ( HTML upload works ) Clicking the browse button (...) under the drag and drop text brings up a error ( fileDialog_InvalidFilter) When i first login to the extended version i get the following Using the extended version seems to cause some errors , When uploading for example it freezes then a massive error comes up which i have attached
-
Just started the testing of files uploading etc . Drag and drop seems to think all Extensions are not allowed ? Manual HTML upload works ok , delete also ... I noticed the extensions are seperate in the config with ; and not a , ( is this normal ?) Many thanks again Nick

Thanks for the quick reply Nick , Seemed to work fine after i remade everything in IIS .. Using your very good pdf document as a guide I couldnt get the drive mappings to work correctly using the setup.aspx ( the My Computer.aspx link was missing) Instead i done it manually in the config.xml ( after a bit of search and destory) May i say so far it seems a LOT ! better than the v6 ( apart from minor install issue which is probally my fault tbh !)
