  1. That's what I thought as well...but then I started digging into what happened after it and read a lot of interviews with the former trainers who were in the film who said they'd been mis-represented and that the vast majority of footage they provided wasn't used which spoke well of SeaWorld.
  2. I've just signed up to NetFlix so I'm watching all sorts of rubbish.... Last night I watched BlackFish - The documentary about the Killer Whales (why it's called BlackFish I have no idea) at SeaWorld in the US. Quite an interesting watch.
  3. Got out for Week 4 run 2 last night, ended up running for a total of 34 minutes (stop start walking/running) as I misjudged my distances and the program finished further away from home than normal. But in that time I ran 5km :-) pretty pleased with myself, didn't expect to be running 5km at this point in the program....just need to be able run for longer periods of time and do less walking as I build up over the next 4 weeks :-)
  4. Just a few stand alone Windows XP PC's here, we removed all PC's that wouldn't upgrade to Windows 7 last summer shutting 3 IT Suites in the process :-(.
  5. I've been categorically told I am not to move anything from the staff shared areas
  6. I wanted to do this on our file server for anything not accessed in the last 5 years and was told that everything on there was essential :-(
  7. I actually like running the dark, so the lighter nights will mean I run later at night :-s although, rationally, I know people pay no attention to me...I'm very paranoid about being watched and looking like an idiot when I'm running (years of being massively overweight have made me very paranoid about how I look).
  8. Thanks for this @ICTLady :-) I am still enjoying the C25K...due to do week 3 run 3 tonight (the snow and ice have put me back a few days, but I've still got time to get to 10k in time for the Manchester 10k at the beginning of May). Thanks for all the advice, I would actually really like to do the park runs, a good friend of mine is a Park Run coordinator and he raves about it, so I know how good they are...I struggle to get there though as I play golf on a Saturday :-) My week is mentally crazy as well, so although I can see the benefits of joining a running club, it's just not something I can do at the moment as I simply don't have the time to dedicate myself to doing something at the same time every week, same with the forums really, I already contribute to a number of forums...like here, Weight Watchers etc etc and I find that I don't have the time to properly devote myself to it and as such I lose the obvious benefits that they can provide. I am hoping the weather improves soon though so I can try and get a bit of routine into my runs (I don't actually mind running in the cold, it's the ice I don't want to run on), although looking ahead on the C25K...the next few weeks look like they start to get a lot tougher :-s
  9. Application submitted :-)
  10. School closed for a second day :-)
  11. It's absolutely throwing it down!! Sixth formers already sent home, rest of the school closing at 12!!
  12. Ahh 30...I remember it well :-) It's all downhill from here :-) Happy Birthday
  13. We're an 11-18 secondary school with around 1600 students. Each classroom has a PC and projector in it plus we have around 30 smartboards in various departments. There are some very very old school laptops dotted around, but as and when they die they are not being replaced. Head and Deputy Heads have laptops and the head also has an iPad. We provide remote access via Windows Remote Desktop which is heavily used....certainly around report time :-)
  14. I used them for some toners at my last school.....quality was ok.
  15. Same as above really, i'd keep the print server separate and we have MDT on its own server as well....allows maintenance and restarts without affecting anything else. We currently have our file servers set up to be as below - File 1 - Staff File 2 - Students File 3 - Shared
  16. Noooo!! I'd only just got over the nightmares of this!! http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/136958-i-did-not-expect-when-i-got-home-last-night.html
  17. a bit of very wet snow, more sleet than anything else, up here in Cheshire.....but not even frost on the car when I set off for work :-(
  18. We upgraded to 11.4 which solved this issue but caused others (I can't think off the top of my head what happened)....we ended up buying their new software and haven't had problems since.
  19. Currently setting one up in Sharepoint...just started initial user testing. very customizable, allows me to do exactly what i want....its very fiddly though and easily broken!!
  20. Hi @arwen Well done on making the choice to try and lose some weight :-) Our best purchase for making meals has been a slow cooker. Chuck in a bit of meat, loads of vegetables, some herbs, tin of chopped tomatoes, maybe a tin of beans/a few potatoes and turn on as you walk out the door and you've got a good filling, healthy meal sat ready for you when you get home from work. If you don't eat it all, then you can freeze what's left over and you've got a healthy ready meal for when you haven't got time to cook or forget to do the slow cooker :-) Other than that, we make very large batches of Bolognese sauce, chilli etc and freeze loads of portions of those as well. Lakeland sell freezer tubs which stack easily and hold a good portion as well. Don't be tempted to put yourself into full blown "diet mode" though and think you can live off salad. Your body still needs calories to function and even reducing your calorie intake to 1800/2000 a day you will see good results. Best of luck with it :-) edit: http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/veggie-chilli/#ozde4Poxd3tXR48m.97 This Jamie Oliver Veggie Chilli is really tasty! The Hairy Dieters books are very good as well
  21. We've just brought one of these in for our PE department, really impressed with it so far.
  22. Hi, thanks for your post. We have now sorted this. Once we got through to second line support at Smoothwall it was all sorted in about an hour. Main issue we had was we were using an old version of the Smoothwall SSL. Once that was corrected it was sorted fairly easily. Had to give the iPads fixed ip addresses, but not the end of the world and now it's working perfectly :-)
  23. Thanks for the replies :-) I've tried most of those key presses. I'd pretty much come to the conclusion before @danmoly posted that I'd need to take it home to get round the proxy. will take it home tonight and cross fingers!
