Help needed desperately with ipads Last week I boldly decided to update one of our sets of IPads(30). I am using Apple Configurator 2. Plug into the charging cart with the Mac, knowing that these ipads needed the IOS updating as well as some of the apps I decided to go for it ........ bad mistake. It was taking ages, and I mean ages, well off I go in need of a cup of tea and I come back and find someone's interfered. Well I wish that I had not had that B***ldy cup of tea now. I have been trying to sort this set of Ipads out since then. 15 of them were okay. But the other 15 a different story. After instaling IOS manually we then could not get the apps back on the, so decided to prepare the Ipads and start again. Again we could not get the apps back on, and it was taking so long. Decided to try and do it in smaller batches, today got to the point where I was making some headway (along with internet issues this morning) and decided to put the restriction profiles back onto the ipads before putting some of them back into use, and then realised that the Ipads were not "Supervised". Decided that I had done something wrong and should have tried locking one down before getting carried away. On Well! Next erased ipads using configurator 2 and then tried prepare again. Then got this error message "unable to activate 8 pads. Device maybe activation locked. Continue on the devices or use iTunes to activate them and try again!!! Well not one to give in I tried this and I just seem to be going around in circles. Ipads still showing as Unsupervised. Help..... All the ipads have Apple ID's. I have also tried restoring from icloud backup. Usual steps are Prepare Add Apps Add restrictions, have I missed something? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Did think about that but had to change the hinges on one of these in the past and literally had to take the thing completely apart. Ethernet to USB adaptor sounds a good idea, would it just work, is there a particular one you would recommend? I think that it is the port on the back of the laptop that is broken, some of the pins look bent! Thank you

Hi I have an Dell E5520 with a dead network card. wifi working okay. I need to join this to the school domain, but cannot unless using a cable connected directly in. This laptop has a RJ11, can I use an adaptor to RJ45 to get onto the network? If so does it need to be something specific? As I say probably a stupid question! Thank you

Thought I would update, problem solved, this was the solution! Somethings changed somewhere as everying was working okay last week If you cannot access the web suite or your app is not connecting to our servers you will need to ask your technician to check your proxy filtering settings. This is how we recommend your Proxy server & web filtering is setup: Some establishments use proxy servers or content management filters to restrict Internet access. In order to get the app to work with these filters, it is necessary to "allow" the following addresses though the filter or proxy server. Access all ports for the following addresses: http://*.2eskimos.com https://*.2eskimos.com api.appcelerator.net Please make sure ports 80 and 443 are opened. To test if the filter is allowing access, please try to access the following link using the web browser on your device. https://apps.2eskimos.com/msuite/apprequest.aspx?r=grouplist&u=we35430&pwd=mal1 If your filters are allowing access, then you should see a line of XML returned. NOTE - FILTERING BY IP ADDRESS If you prefer to use IP addresses rather than domain names the follwing IP addresses should be allowed through your proxy filters: 31.193.7.97 31.193.7.125 31.193.7.124 Might help someone!

Dear All After visiting the Betts show, just wondering if anyone uses IJT (Inkjets and Toners, makingitgreen) do their toners do what they say, have been testing compatibles from another company for a Dell C3110 with nothing but problems. Thinking of ordering a free printer plus remanufactures ink, have to say not sure its the right way to go, what are your thoughts please?

Hi Turns out that there was a bat file stopping the service, but not restarting it, file not updated when migrated over to SQL2012. Thank you for the suggestions

Hi Anyone having the same problem, over the last couple of weeks since our move to SQL 2012 the SQL2012 service keeps stopping, office staff etc unable to login into SIMS until service is restarted. I suspect this is our poor old server grinding to a halt Dell poweredge T1800. Does anyone have a fix apart from new server? Thanks
