[free] Printer Toners what are in my way - free to collect
sonofsanta replied to sonofsanta's topic in Classified Adverts
Priceless now, I'm afraid, you can only get Tesco Everyday Motivation posters now and they're just not the same. -
We haven't had these printers in school for at least five years, but the toners have been sat there so long they've essentially become furniture. I'm sick of them now. Please take them away from me. You should be able to read off the boxes if you view the image at full resolution. Grantham, Lincolnshire. If you want to pay a company to collect them, feel free, but I can't be bothered to schlep them down to the post office. I'd say first come first served but I'm only posting this to assuage my guilt at throwing them out, not because I'm actually expecting anyone to want them

I suppose a lot of it is aimed a bit high for pre-teens--the abstract thought, the imaginary boyfriend, the differences between Mum & Dad etc. 14yo and wife loved it as well, but it has less kid appeal than a lot of other Pixar films.
-
Kinda puts me in mind of Dungeons & Dragons... I enjoyed Moon & Source Code both, though, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

Inside Out; funny, clever, and utterly traumatic from an emotional standpoint. A Pixar film, then. Still, I kind of wish I hadn't watched a film about the death of childhood memories the day after leaving my childhood home for the last time before my parents move out!

Office 365 - changed e-mail settings?
sonofsanta replied to speckytecky's topic in Enterprise Software
Google is implying it's a fault in the server IIS config... which you can't do a lot about. Maybe reinstall the prerequisites you need for PowerShell to connect, just in case, and if it's no better then you might have to open an Office 365 support case (which is both free and helpful, surprisingly). -
Office 365 - changed e-mail settings?

No... it tells you "Command not recognized" in that instance (or words to that effect about the attribute), but that's an HTTP error from the server it's giving you. Try it again in a bit...? -

Hadn't finished after an hour with 1500ish mailboxes here, but is done now after 1h45 at most -

Office 365 - changed e-mail settings?

Mine's been going about half an hour as well, but I ran it against a single user first and it was fine (and did work). Wouldn't be the first Exchange cmdlet I've run that takes forever and a day to finish--plus I imagine this specific command is being run in hundreds of thousands of PowerShell sessions right now -
[news] Why Windows XP Won’t Be Going Away Anytime Soon
sonofsanta replied to unixman_again's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
Well no, because they'd announced it more than three years hence--and even that announcement was that they were extending support beyond the anticipated ten year date of 2011. I can sympathise with "Sarah"'s lack of funds, but that's ultimately the choice her bosses are making--if they're not willing to invest in security and technology, then that's their grave to dig. Unfortunately for them, technology is never a one-off purchase, but an ongoing investment. -
Office 365 - changed e-mail settings?

Start with Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned $LiveCred = Get-Credential $Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri https://ps.outlook.com/powershell/ -Credential $LiveCred -Authentication Basic -AllowRedirection Import-PSSession $Session That'll ask you for some credentials, give it some for an Office 365 administrator. It'll connect to Exchange Online, import the Exchange commands (such as Get-Mailbox) and then allow you to run the code I posted just above. -
I'm at an all girls grammar, and proper lovely it is too For me, the difference isn't in the grammar part (Lincs grammar schools are state), it's in the all girls part--the worst damage I've had in six years was someone drawing on the screen with a biro, so I got some ethanol and cleaned it off. Never a stick of RAM nicked, never a monitor punched, keyboards & mice aren't unplugged from the back and into the front (never did understand that)... compare and contrast to my previous job, where the first thing I ever did was remove a hard glass monitor that had been shattered by a student punching it. I also don't have to worry anywhere near as much about them trying to hack the network to prove a point--they're simply not interested in trying to beat us at that game. I know boys grammars still have to deal with a lot of that, though. Everyone who starts work here ends up sticking for longer than they anticipated. It's not an easy place to leave. Hard work still--but instead of expending all your energy on classroom management, you're being driven by the students to do more for them. Their self-motivation and organisation is incredible, and puts me to shame.

Yes, there is! Just this moment tried the PowerShell cmdlet again (that wasn't working last week) and it's running now Get-Mailbox -ResultSize unlimited | Set-MailboxMessageConfiguration -IsReplyAllTheDefaultResponse $false Tested & verified as doing the job -

I've tweaked the site layout to be a bit more consistent in its typography and a bit more sensible in its sizing, so it should be a prettier and more readable now. This includes sizing down the ENORMOUS TEXT up the top and making the top links bigger so they stand out some more. Any more thoughts are, as always, appreciated -
Nonsense! It's obviously green and black. (top tip: full screen that on one monitor, full screen this on the other, tap away madly, look pro)

Also interested in a ballpark figure - we've been using Overnet's FacilityCMIS link forever, and like it very much, but they've always offered it through third parties. I gather they have fallen out again with their current partner and are planning to offer support directly, and to be honest I've always found them very helpful when I've dealt directly, so I'm certainly inclined towards them. It'd be useful to have an idea of what it's likely to cost.

...the toys we packed away a few months ago because they didn't play with them. Wrap 'em up and good as new. They're 2 & 3, they won't know any better, and they've got bloomin' loads of stuff already. They get presents all through the year as it is... when the missus spots 'em going cheap on Facebook For Sale pages
