Hello, all.. Has anyone been asked to install Urdu fonts? We've been asked to install this "interesting" looking application. Pak Urdu Installer - Urdu Fonts, Urdu Keyboard and Urdu Language Support Installer - Free Urdu Software Interesting, in that the download link on CNet threw up a popup for a known malicious software site. It's called Pak Urdu. According to the webpage: "Three common Urdu fonts that are used in Urdu websites or other places have been included in Pak Urdu Installer in which artistic font "Jameel Noori Nastaleeq", CRULP font "Nafees Web Naskh" and BBC Urdu font "Urdu Naskh Asia Type". These all three fonts are Urdu Unicode True Type font (ttf). " I have my doubts that this website has the copyright on any/all of these fonts. We only install fonts if we have the written consent of the copyright holder. We've had too many requests for "free" fonts which turn out to be "free for PERSONAL use". Is anyone familiar with any of these fonts? Thanks, Gerard

This is more a heads up as I have yet to solve it. Since moving to 7 we have had several programs display incorrectly. It is not all programs rather ones that look like they were programed with VB6 or VC++. Examples we see are: Timetabler - [/url] PCSchool - http://www.pcschool.net BookIt! - CaRob Computing - SportsTrak, BookIt, SciList, JobCard The font sizes are larger in these programs causing formating to expand but the window size is correct so scroll bars are introduced. The problem only occurs with 7, Vista and XP are both fine. Also the problem only occurs with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 and 3650 graphics cards, Intel and Nvidia are fine. Support calls to Microsoft, HP, the developers and third party engineers have yielded no solutions. All aspects of DPI adjustments, Window parameters, system default fonts, every ATI driver under the Sun (worst drivers ever), and loads more have been explored. So if you are unlucky to have the same combo but discover a solution feel free to shout it my way.

Hi, I have a problem and RM have said that there is no way round it, so here's your challenge!! We have a few notebooks with very small screens and I would like to increase the display font size to large fonts for all users of the notebooks, and then reset the font size back to normal for the user when they log off, so that when they use a normal size screen elsewhere, everything isn't HUGE. I have built a custom workstation type for the notebooks but unfortunately, the registry settings for display fonts is a user registry, not machine - I believe that it is HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\Window Metrics. I have tried making a batch program to be run by the machine at user logon, which uses "regedt32 /s" to change the current user's font; this works but only for system admins, not standard users, owing to software restrictions. I tried making an MSI of the registry changes and then running that at login, but the same thing happens, even when I changed the security on the workstation type to low. I wonder if anyone has any suggestions about how to do this automatically for users, please? I feel that I'm going in circles here and I must be missing something - and there MUST be a way! As you will have gathered, it's a CC3 system, with XP SP2 systems. Thanks, Helen.

I have been looking endlessly on how to change the Default Font in Outlook 2010 for everybody on the domain (we need to set it to Arial 12). We use Mandatory Profiles here and GPO to deploy alot of changes but cannot find any solution. I know how to change this on an individual user through "Stationery and Fonts" Any advice would be great.

We have been asked to set the default font network wide on Smart Notebook 11. I assume I can do this by deploying a config file on group policy once I have set the font on a local machine. Can anyone advise which config file I will need to deploy?

Hi, I was wondering how to set a standard font for all users' outgoing messages, so that each message will automatically default to that font with a standard signature. I think I have worked out how to do the signature using a Transport rule, but cannot work out how to do the email font. Is this actually possible? We are using Exchange 2007 with Outlook 2003. Thanks.

Hello, I am having office 07 problems. I have a windows 7 system on a 2003 domain logged on as an administrator user, if I change default font size settings, font settings or pharagraph settings. As soon as I close and re-open office, my changes are gone and it has gone back to default. Any ideas? Rob:troll:
