Hi All, A teacher has an issue where on her laptop she can create a slide and on that machine it shows as the slide being full. When the teacher then loads that slide on the PC in the classroom the slide then has lots more space around where she could have used in the first place. Is there a setting in Smart 11 that will allow the slide to match on both machines? I would have thought this was automatic. Point to note:- The resolution between the PC and laptop are almost the same. Many thanks

Hello, We currently have 52 Smartboards at our school and these are a combination of SB500-SB600 boards all manufactured before 2012. We have just bought 4 new SB660 boards manufactured this year but after what I thought would just be a quick replacement, have found that the board won't speak to the computer. We are currently running Smart version 10.0.123.0.01:25:09 Apr 3 2008 and Driver version 10.0.124.0. My question is has the firmware changed for boards made in 2012 and therefore the driver needs to be updated and/or has anyone else experienced this. Kind Regards

Hi, Whenever creating files to present to class, slides with the timer on are corrupt and won't work unless the timer is removed? The file isn't corrupted straight after I save it, but a few days down the line when trying to present it to the class, that is when it plays up.

We have been asked to set the default font network wide on Smart Notebook 11. I assume I can do this by deploying a config file on group policy once I have set the font on a local machine. Can anyone advise which config file I will need to deploy?

Before I install this at school #3, has anyone got a fix for the painfully slow load times? If not, I'll stick with v10.

Afternoon All, Recently all of our old smart board 600's started having connectivity issues (flashing red light and loss of touch interactivity), it appears to have happened after a member of staff updated the firmware (however there appears to not be a way to roll back to the older firmware) I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? we are running windows 10 1809 enterprise with smart notebook 11.4, its worked fine for the past few years but now it appears the only way to get the board to work after it is to go into the smart settings and autodetect the board once again I have made a batch file that staff can click in order to detect the smart board without going through the smart system menu, however its not exactly a permanent fix any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Hi We currently have SMARTboards in the school and use SMART Notebook 11.4. This is still running - just! One of our users is having continuous problems with the Notebook software. Keeps on freezing and she is having to load the file up again. A short disruption, but we are a special needs school so any disruption has a disproportionate affect on the children. So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Replaced the PC entirely with a brand new image (so new hardware and a new image - not the old image updated) Local Profiles so effectively a new profile as well. She is making a note every time it happens, so different classes, different files and different links and different types of links (ie not all sound files etc). Obviously SMART Notebook 11.4 is well out of support, but has the perpetual licence, so we are not breaking any licensing agreement. So do we bite the bullet and upgrade to the latest version and pay the annual costs, where they have the option to increase the prices at any time? Or can anyone recommend any other (free or cheap) software that could be used instead? We are moving to Windows 10 shortly, so definitely needs to be compatible with Windows 10. (We could always upgrade her early so it doesn't have to be compatible with Windows 7) Thanks from someone who needs to think of as cool avatar and sign-off.

I have a school which has a 3 year old Smart Board that will not write in a straight line. No matter how steady your hand is, the line always comes out squiggly as if you have been meticulously zig-zagging across the page. I have updated the software to 11.4 (the highest the school can go to without having to go through the subscription cr*p) and oriented with 20 points and still it comes out squiggly. I told the school to get in touch with the company who installed it and when they came round, they promptly told the school the software needed updating. Call me skeptical but I feel like this is a fob off because they are trying to get the school to buy a new board. Are firmware updates to the board included with Smart 11.4? or is updating the firmware a separate process? If it is separate, how on earth am I supposed to update it as I cannot find anything obvious! Slightly Scratch the above. I have found how to update the firmware. If an upgrade is either not available or doesn't fix it. I'd welcome any suggestions as to what else I can try! Or am I going to have to face the inevitable and get them to buy a new board?
