Further to discussion in another thread, I'd recommend adding *locky* to your Cryptolocker File Group. You could just add *.locky for now, but (a) I can't see *locky* triggering many false positives, if any, (b) the ransomware is likely to evolve to mix up the filenames a bit.

This funny thing happens to me wherein the original credits & theme tune start playing and I come over all uncritical for an hour or so. So glad they didn't change that bit. Episode 3 was a bit silly, though. But still. X Files! My original TV love.

I don't get all this talk of The Cloud. What has Little Chef's free wifi got to do with anything? I don't think this'll be the next big thing, but at some point I'd love to see ad-hoc tablet networks, so a class of thirty could collaborate and share resources among each other intuitively, with a teacher's tablet acting as master. Swipe some content to the tablet you're sat next to, walk over to the next student, pull something over, then push it up to the board, run through it there, then push it out to everyone... would need an awareness of every device's physical position and orientation, but could be incredibly intuitive, which is always the stumbling block for technology in schools.

Point the first: definitely no book 6 this year. Point the second: book & show are definitely diverging. People are dead in one and not in t'other, and vice versa. And some characters are missing outright--not seen anything of Young Griff in the show yet, which may be a clue as to his legitimacy in the books... So I don't think either will necessarily spoil the other outright. There will still be shocks in each. Facebook will spoil both, though, so I'mma quittin' it while the show's on!

I think Wehrlein in that Manor will be a bit of a surprise package this year. Tempted to put him in my fantasy line-up, could be a bargain at 6.5m...

The Lotus F1 tweets were always delightfully anarchic. Glad to see they've not been reined in by the corporate machine I do like the Renault line up this year. Shame the car is probably not going to be up to much :/

According to the BBC live updates page @ 08:52, the new design is a whole 4db louder. Woo!

Perhaps not a surprise that so many of the cars are indistinguishable from last year's, given that the formula hasn't really changed. I like the extra splash of white on the Ferrari; I like Manor's new colour scheme; I think the McLaren is a bit ugly with the harsh bump (most other teams have a smoother curve there, so not sure how well it will work, aerodynamically); I'm annoyed that Haas, of all the colours they could have chosen, went for black and silver. Enough with the black and silver! I also can't tell the difference with the Williams and the Mercedes, but don't fix what ain't broke, right?

I quite like the Red Bull one, a lot less busy than previous years, and I like the big block of yellow with the red bull overlaid. Striking. As for Renault... did the grid really need more black liveries? I suppose Lotus were black anyway so not really an increase, but I'm bored of everything being black and/or silver. I'd hoped Renault would go with more yellow to stand out. +1 happiness for seeing Magnussen back, he was hard done by by Ron. As entertaining as it was following the soap opera of Maldonado, there are too many talented drivers struggling to get seats, and he needed to make way. Sad that it takes the economic collapse of a country to shift him out, though, rather than it being a merit-based thing.

This is why you get Novatech, Stone or VeryPC to build your PCs for you they've been giving us SSDs in new builds since 2012. It frustrates the bejesus out of me in consumer kit though. 95% of people don't need more than 256GB in their laptop and so they would benefit massively from an SSD. It's a world of difference on a modern Core i3 M with enough 4GB+ of RAM.

I don't know what recent models are like, but the Oki lasers we put in 5 and a bit years ago (and recently replaced) were uneven in the tone they produced; there was a crosshatching pattern visible even on solid colours, like some kind of cheap tartan. This was on the ES6410 for A4 and ES8460 for A3.

Oh yeah, I think portable's done; much like the best camera is the one you have with you, the best portable games device is the one you have with you, and apart from the lack of physical buttons (which only bothers a minority, myself included, but not enough to be more than niche) most phones are powerful enough. They're absolutely right to be moving into mobile gaming and making use of their brand there--so long as they stick to producing high quality, high content games, and don't dilute said brand with cheap 79p tat. I think Nintendo can get away with charging a bigger chunk for their games than most. I also concede that all of the above may boil down to nothing more than me sticking my fingers in my ears and loudly chanting la la la la because I don't want to believe Nintendo are mortal
