Ah, fair enough. Have you tried launching the script with User Config > Policies > Admin Templates > System > Logon > Run these programs at user logon? That delays the script until the desktop has appeared, and runs explicitly in the user context, so if they have permissions (to that folder on C:\ as well as the script file, wherever that is) it should work. Apply it to the OU containing the four computers you need and make sure loopback policy processing (Computer > Policies > Admin Templates > System > Group Policy > User Group Policy loopback processing mode = Merge) is on. Caveat: only one script can ever be run this way. If you already run another script this way, this policy will overwrite it, or be overwritten by it. It acts more like a normal group policy setting in that regard, where the more specific setting "wins", unlike the Windows Settings > Scripts section which accumulates and runs everything specified in every GPO.

GPP can do all that You can use item-level targeting to make sure it only runs on machines you want to run it on (or just apply the Group Policy Object on the relevant OU as normal), and if you use the Update action, it compares the files and only copies them over if the source is newer (where Replace always copies).

I don't understand how removing content is improving the service to the public. I don't get why it's being claimed that "the BBC was never meant to be all things to all people". Why not? It's a public service, that should quite literally be its purpose! If it competes with commercial interests, maybe they should just up their game instead of whining and getting the BBC hobbled by ministers. I love the BBC, and the continuous ideological attacks on it get tiring. Has it not proved its worth yet?

SSD: always, always, always. It shouldn't even be a question anymore. Monitors: we have 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitors in our Photography room, that's plenty of resolution and still usable on Win7. Make sure you get IPS so you can calibrate it, then buy a Spyder to calibrate the monitor objectively (Pro has software advantages over Express, but you could get by with the latter to save some money). Then get a proper photography printer (we have an Epson), install the ICC colour profiles for the paper types and buy your photography paper to match it (e.g. we get Epson paper to match the Epson printer and select the exact colour profile in Photoshop). That gives you an end-to-end colour accurate workflow, and at A-Level, that will honestly make a difference to the quality of the work.

I agree with the stewards--racing incident. Did Rosberg close it down aggressively? Yes, in the same way Hamilton has so many times. Hamilton was technically alongside him, but at those speeds and in those fractions of a second, no-one could react correctly in the moment. I don't think either of them appreciated just how quickly Hamilton was closing. Certainly not the level of malicious intent that there was in Spa '14. Fascinating stuff 4 drivers in it for the last twenty laps, with no idea which way it'd fall... brilliant. Feel a bit rotten for Ricciardo though--if you want to split strategy, you normally put your #2 driver onto the risky option, which at that point in the running order was Verstappen. I'm not one for team conspiracies in F1, but that was odd.

Yup. Been using them for user profiles for years as well as boot drives in our file servers (which we build ourselves). Samsung 850 Pro gets my vote right now. 10 year warranty and ludicrous levels of data use thanks to the 40nm process node used for the VNAND. Ludicrously fast as well. We run in RAID1.

Further further update: Photo printing on the inkjets is surprisingly competent, and Adobe RGB is the colour setting you want for best accuracy. Still not up to the specialist printers, but a pleasant bonus. General printing for art... wasn't good enough. Specifically in the art room, we've put an HP M651 laser in instead, for the contrast and black levels. Again, using Adobe RGB in the print driver, you actually get surprisingly colour accurate results. Everywhere else is still fine with the inkjets, and I've not regretted the choice at all in the 6 months since swapping the fleet over. I tell you what though--it's all well and good HP claiming these things are jam free, but they clearly didn't test with secondary school students

Nah, JB is one of the best drivers on the grid. Just gets on with it quietly. He's matching Alonso in the McLaren, although that's not worth a lot right now

Red Bull's new driver program has always been harsh--remember Jean-Eric Vergne? "You're dropped." "Who for?" "You're just dropped." "Kvyat has been promoted ahead of me after one season less, can I keep my seat now...?" "No." And Kvyat has never really fulfilled his promise in the RBR in the same way Ricciardo has. It took him most of last season to get comfortable, and RBR are desperate to keep Verstappen in the family and stop his Dad (who is being very pushy with Max's career) from holding talks elsewhere. If Verstappen weren't about, Kvyat would have had more time, but unfortunately for him (and Sainz, who is excellent in his own right), this once-in-a-generation wunderkind is on the grid.
