@ProwisePaul , what happened to the large-scale software rollout to all the older models, was getting told these were all getting updated to bring their feature sets in line with the newer units, but it keeps getting push back and back. Any information would be useful thank you.

Not seen anything on this, would be good for the rest of the site as Adobe Rush is a good easy to use video editor for the general student population.

I don't know if you could help, I'm trying to add a font reference and stylesheet reference for social media icons above the tags but it doesnt appear to be using them. Is this support in Outlook as other sources seem to suggest it should be possible? Also I'm trying to pull in the display name AD attribute , is this the correct reference as its not returning anything. if($user.displayName.count -gt 0){$displayName = $user.displayName[0]}

@psydill do you have a direct link into the product range as interested to take a look? Not sure if I'm looking at Instant AP or Aruba Central APs unless they are one the same?

We struggled getting a report that could total the points correctly, always had to do work afterwards.

On our to do list to automate, was considering Power BI mini dashboard as our signage software supports that nicely. Would be interested if anyone has done anything though!

Licence cost was the biggest issue with this implementation when I did some pre-investigation into phone systems. I need to do some more investigation myself as alternative options for session border controllers as some quote I had back for cloud hosting where crazy expensive.

Under System Options > Network > TCP/IP > Basic as this set to static or DHCP under IPv4? Do you need UPnP service, or can you specify the camera hostname in camera station, can this be turned off?

You can 'cheat' if you copy the updates once download in Solus from \\solus3servername\Extraction\SIMS to S:\SIMS\Setups and run C:\Program Files (x86)\SIMS\SIMS .net\SIMSLoad.exe it will do the update instantly. The old chestnut of SIMS permissions but could be another workaround! I had to use this method for devices connected on IPv6 networks as SOLUS doesn't support IPv6!!

I will also be looking this way in due course, hmm this could be a stickly point. Can the devices access the Solus server > Extraction > SIMS folder and run the individual setups directly?

I've got one board that needs to be power cycled every time you switch on as it just gets stuck on the Prowise logo. OneNote app if you pinch and zoom, it crashes and reloads every time. Teams is missing from the latest models (Zoom is present), its due very shortly. Not bugs as such but the default brightness level is exceptionally low, we found a setting to enable a bight mode which is much better. We have also found the power saving a little aggressive, example a teacher could be swapping devices and the screen turns off, they then have to wait again for the boot up process. Seems a brief time when investigating but when standing in front of a class these things all add up.

Apparently, there is work in the pipeline for a release this year to version 3.2 for any board 5 years or newer I was told by my reseller, not sure if that is going to happen or not yet but would be good as we have a fairly mixed fleet of versions so would be good to get them on the same platform/feature set! Is anyone STILL waiting to be approved access to screen control 😕 been over a month now? Also, heads-up some of the new Prowise Touchscreen One boards just released we are noticing a couple of software bugs/missing features. Hope Prowise software devs get onto of this!

About to migrate over https://wasabi.com/ from Azure Blob, cost saving!! (Using Altaro VM Backup)

We already have a couple of https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/product/ts-832xu-rp as iSCSI targets for Altaro. I'm using the spare capacity for Boxafe so no additional investment needed. Each one is 96TB raw. Performance has been perfect for our requirements, but you may want to consider a more powerful unit if using additional services or multi users etc.

Use SCCM and EndPoint Manager (InTune) coupled with PatchMyPC and Dell Update catalogue which handles all our patching drivers, OS and third-party software updates etc. We aim to get updates done in a two week window which we are about 95% successful in achieving considering a lot of laptops and very sporadic usage patterns.

After upgrading to 20H2 I have also lost DA.. Was confused so ended up using an alternative vpn but would be interested in hearing if it's being disable. I've started the work on setting up AoVPN mainly in the hope of overcoming home internet connection issues for some of our users but looks like it's still a thing with AoVPN.
