Been really happy with our Axis Audio system but then it works for us with Axis camera and VMS. https://www.axis.com/products/network-audio

I created the policy and updated some devices, seemed to have enrolled into Intune without too much fuss.

Papercut MF Client - Not auto starting (Intune)
RobFuller replied to newpersn's topic in Cloud Services
I use the following PowerShell install script with Intune. # Install PaperCut Client Start-Process msiexec.exe -ArgumentList '/i "win\pc-client-admin-deploy.msi" /qn' -Wait #Set to run for all users $registryPath = "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" # Define the name of the registry value $valueName = "PaperCut Client" # Get the path to the Program Files directory $programFilesPath = [System.Environment]::GetFolderPath('ProgramFiles') # Define the path to the executable $exePath = "$programFilesPath\PaperCut MF Client\pc-client.exe" # Create the registry key if it doesn't exist if (-not (Test-Path $registryPath)) { New-Item -Path $registryPath -Force } # Set the registry value to run the executable Set-ItemProperty -Path $registryPath -Name $valueName -Value $exePath -Type String -
Digital Signage software, what do you use?

Vote for Yodeck here, very powerful, API , loads of options for players/embedded devices. Have a look at the criteria for becoming a reseller for the discounts.. -
We use a Tap IP https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/video-conferencing/room-solutions/tap-ip.952-000085.html super easy then user walks in and presses the join button. We also have Teams telephony so the room also has a direct dial for old school teleconferencing as needed. Get this, dont bother with the remote! BYOD is a simple case of plugging in the HDMI and USB, screen is instantly shared and the camera becomes a plug and play USB webcam including sound and speakers. Note Teams does support basic Zoom and WebEx meeting so if you send the calendar invite into the room you can join those meetings without BYOD/platform switching, not sure about Google meet having checked recently. Any questions give me a shout. Rob

We have two Logitech Rallybars, and they are fantastic pieces of equipment. The scheduler screen outside the room has been a big hit with its calendar integration, allowing people to see who has booked the room and if it's available. We chose the Rallybar to enhance the camera and audio quality of our "important" meetings, and it has been a great success. While it's not used every day, when we have a room full of board members, it's a godsend to have a high-quality, reliable system that also looks impressive. In my opinion, it's worth the investment, but your mileage may vary. Note these are MS Teams meeting rooms, not sure on your chosen platform.

Glad not just me thinking that..

Get yourself a publicly trusted cert for each server hosting NPS. CN should be the FQDN of the server, install into the local computer personal certificate folder and use that with your policies in NPS. Found this resolves all Android 11+ / ChromOS device connection issues around trust.

Transcribe your recordings in Word directly?

We use AirServer Connect 3 boxes for our critical rooms where we need rock solid wireless connectivity and these deliver but are expensive. Support all major platforms and pin codes can be implemented. I use mircast over infrastructure as these has been very reliable and go through our core firewall so easy to manage which devices can see what and connect so removes the need for even passcodes. Downside is someone connects and forgets to disconnect and walls from one site of the site to their other whole still broadcasting there screen, ugh.

Installing Windows Updates is possible by setting the variable to true in the config. https://www.osdcloud.com/osdcloud/deployment/winpe/start-osdcloud-wrapping I would really like to know how to load drivers packs for both Dell and HP in the configuration, I will find it somewhere when I have time. Unless somebody knows haha. Which method did you use to jump straight into Autopilot as I've been reading conflicting blogs and got very confused.
-
This would be a perfect fit without maintaining local infrastructure and images.
-
No it can however run windows updates to ensure it has all the latest patches before completing, this includes drivers , firmware etc. All customisable.
-
Yes direct from MS so no image is on the USB unless you want to cache it / driver etc.
-
Yes and drivers, BIOS, Defender definitions etc very very powerful scripts and saves maintaining images all deployable without local infrastructure.
-
I've been investigating OSDcloud, impressive. Just trying to automate capturing new machine into autopilot that haven't been purchased / acquired from a reseller that can do this for you.

Recommendation?

Same here, don't have enough servers to justify the gateway service , almost more cost effective to run vm with licensed virtual firewall appliance to do a site to site. I wondered if there is a way of setting up a VPN client service on the server itself to connect directly back.

100% need a pair its critical infrastructure now. Active Passive is perfectly fine and some vendors don't charge the addtional licence, only for the tin. -
Azure AD, Fortinet Filtering
RobFuller replied to Alawil's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
This really got me angry when I was trying to resolve authentication issue with our Fortinet setup. It was only a tiny bit more expensive to buy into a cloud filtering solution compared to the licensing costs, so we did. Made no sense for us to go authenticator route frustratingly. -
I would request CCS Framework RM6174 Lot 2 spreadsheet of prices. Then you can compare all the models, features, speeds and pricing. Made it so much clearer and transparent. We reduced costs and increased speeds!

Azure AD, Fortinet Filtering
RobFuller replied to Alawil's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
After speaking with Fortinet, they have an agent you can push down to your clients for Entra joined machines but this requires FortiAuthenticator. In the end I've decided it makes much more sense to go down the on device filtering route, for us we are going to use Lightspeed.
