Trying to run adprep on a 2003 DC but keep getting this error message. This is the log file Updating change from:" International ISDN Number (Others)" to "International ISDN Number (Others)" for locale 409, object inetOrgPerson-Display and property attributeDisplayNames. Adprep was unable to complete because the call back function failed. The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002). [user Action] Check the log file ADPrep.log, in the C:\WINDOWS\debug\adprep\logs\20120807135605 directory for more information. It seems to me it cant create the log file needed but it create a new folder each time so I cant create one for it. Any Ideas?

TBH I thought it was a no go for KS2 when I first fired it up but after 10 mins you realise that actually its dead easy to get into and has a lot you can extend it with. I find it a bit buggy also but if you go into the settings, turn down the resolution then unchecked most of the effects its runs pretty flawlessly on our netbooks with 1gb ram. I also make sure the kids dont add unneeded gumf to the worlds they create as this makes their game a bit laggy.

thanks Jona. New it would be something simple. Also sjatkn you are correct about the leading rather than the trailing.

Hi doing some work for a course but have a question which requires me to use the I.P Adress 2011:5555:5555:1::5 . Now with my maths this should be 2011:5555:5555:1000:0000:5000 which just isnt long enough. What am I doing wrong? gonna kick myself I know! Cheers in advance

Hi all just wondering if anyone has experience of any other networks than O2 which can give a reliable commute reception from Southampton to London Waterloo. currently on O2 and the reception is flaky at best. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. I have had a look at the BBC map which show rough estimate of coverage but am after some first hand experience to be honest.

This method seems to be working intermittently for me. Sometime the tweets show up and some times they dont. If I then put the feed url into my browser it does the same. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Any idea on this one? Have sorted the photos in a bit of a slightly different way. Have used google picasa and picasa web albums to sync certain folder on our drive. Then inserted the embed code from picasa web albums into xibo. Now everytime a photo is put into the folder, picasa uploads it to picasa web albums and xibo automatically pics up the new slideshow.
-
Sorry this is gonna sound pretty simple. With the HTML code do I paste that into the Embed part of xibo? Then the php code I paste into a text file and save with the extension HTML? Then put that HTML file in the same folder as all of my photos? Cheers
-
Sounds like a good idea. Ideally though just want teachers to be able to dump a bunch of photos in a folder and in sync from that.Any other ideas for this one? Cheers for that. Turns out I was being special and didn't have the correct proxy settings.

Hey just wondering how people are getting twitter feeds onto xibo. I wanted to use an rss feed of our twitter updates but twitter no longer works with rss. Also have tried the twitter widgets but they don't seem to be showing up when copying them into the "embed" function. Also has anyone found a really good way of adding lots of photos to a slideshow easily. Was hoping to use picaso web albums and embed a slideshow but this doesn't seem to work either. Lastly anyone found any nice looking websites that are good and easy to embed. I am thinking of something like a webcams of zoos etc? Cheers in advance

Yep proper marketplace and proper google apps integrated etc. As for the viewing angle its fine for me to use on my own but sharing with someone else i.e person on the sofa next to me, I would have to point the screen at them for it to be properly visible. For some reason the viewing angle is better upside down. The screen in my opinion seems good when looked at from the correct viewing angle. -

I would say the quality is good. Looks pretty slick and sturdy. Nice weight. Hardware wise its spot on, compares to all the big names speed wise (except for the new quad cores that are coming out). Dont expect it to feel as slick as ipad or galaxy tab but its defo a step up from the cheapo £100 chinese jobbies that float around. Took me 20 mins to change the rom using these instructions How to install vegacomb 3.2 advent vega - Android @ MoDaCo. So for £130 I have top spec tablet with the latest android software (not including ice cream sandwich). Again my one gripe is the viewing angle of the screen. But I can live with it. -

You can get an advent vega fo £130. Has good community support and easily upgradeable to android 3.2. Really fast and stable my only gripe is the screen has poor viewing angles. -
Have fixed this issue now by redirecting my cookies using this Redirect Favorites and Cookies folder using a Group Policy. Very Useful

Hi All We are running server 2003 with xp clients and have mandatory profiles with application data redirected. What I would like to enable, which doesn't seem to be working is the ability to stay logged into websites. Its obviously something to do with cookies but I thought with redirected apps data this would be enabled. I think I am probably missing something simple. I understand the security risks but this is for something specific. Is this possible? Any help greatly appreciated

Hi all Got some MET data for a lesson later but its currently stuck on the met website http://bit.ly/imoLEw. Anyone know an easy way I can get this into excel so that all the data is in individual cells? I assumed there must be some sort of CSV conversion tool available? Anyone help on this one would be cracking. Cheers All
