Anyone know much about gpus and photoshop? I am toying between a gtx 550ti a 7700. Current photoshop rig is pretty good so no obvious upgrades other than gpu which is currently pants. I know photoshop doesn't use gpu hugely but for certain filter tasks I will get my money back in time saved easily. I don't do any gaming so its just for photoshop. I know I need to look for a card with decent opengl opencl capabilities but I can find benchmarks for low to midrange cards. Looking in the low end of gpus around £50 Any suggestions or advice? Ta

Cheers all. Like the parents questions Elsie may use them. Have quite a few resources already but was hoping for some tips or talking points, something that's food for thought rather than death by powerpoint. Maybe an activity? I have some Digital leaders coming showing parents how to lock down ios and android but would like a couple of other hands on things.

Hi all We are having a parents evening which will allow us 2 x 45min sessions on e-safety advice for parents. Has anyone got any ideas or resources in creating something that would be interesting and informative for parents and not just a general lecture? This is based on parents of yr3 and yr4 children so the lower end of the category. I think we are going to use digital leaders to help us show parents how to lock down various devices and also show them some of the things we do in school in regards to teaching the children about e-safety. Thanks in advance

Does it allow mirroring of tablet/phone? This is the 1 of 2 features lacking on android which really niggle me when I see Apple users using it!

We have had a couple of breakages with our trusty bank of netbooks. Obviously the model is now out of date but would like a couple more that may be refurbs etc. The specific model is 1001px but any that are similar looking and use the same charger will suffice. Any ideas anyone? Need about 4. Kudos to anyone that can find them at a good price from reputable seller. Cheers Rich

List of advantages for staff to actually use our school email service

Thanks Edutech. I like the idea of the landing page, although I think staff may just go around it. after it putting in a school email is far to much hassle. This might be something I give a go over summer. Bottom 2 comments are perfect for what I need. Any Others anyone? -
Hi all We currently run a Google domain and all staff have a access to school email + distribution lists etc. Its frustrating me at the moment as staff are missing "important" announcements due to the fact they are not logging in. The gmail site is set to auto open in the morning when they first login but putting in an email address and password seems to be too much work. Has anyone got a list of points that are relevant as to why we use a corporate mail instead of our own personal emails. Have drafted something already but was hoping for some well written points rather than my usual waffling.

Hi All Not a sims pro but have been trying to help the office. The HT wants a report that shows the children from this term with 100% attendance. I thought this would be easy but cant find a way to select a date from and then to. To add to this we are trying not include anyone with late/ authorised and unauthorised absences. I have successfully created a report that will show the last bit but cant figure how to get it not to include any dates before this term? Any Ideas? Is this possible? Cheers in advance

Hi all After a simple solution for aggregating our school blogs and creating something pretty that can be shoved onto the school website. Something like feedly. feed your mind. or http://www.rssinclude.com. Ideally it would be pretty little tiles, something like pulse or bbc newsreader app but understand this may not be possible. I have currently added all the feeds from our blogs into a single google reader feed which should make it nice and easy. I just cant find anything that is pretty to that I can simply embed! Currently lots of rss readers out but none that look good. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yep. Just find the resolution of your screen then create a background in your favorite picture editor. Save as JPEG then upload to zibo as a background. Have attached all my backgrounds.Backgrounds.zip

This thread is to share ideas about digital signage content and ideas. Share your screenshots of what you have done and how you did it. Would be good to try and keep the thread tidy so it can be used as reference?
