Problem · Last week we had an automatic upgrade on Moodle · Everytime we tried to do the upgrade it would come back with an error saying “can not upgrade due to Upgrade_log already existing. · Searched for upgrade_log but couldn’t find it on webserver · Searched online for diagnosis via moodle site but didn’t have much luck concerning the error. · Came across one person who had the same issue and they fixed it by doing a fresh install. · Backed up our data and tried to do a fresh install but had a problem with our dump file, it had an error. · The original error had error code 1045 which was referring to a root password, I managed to sort that · Tried again and came up with another error “ERROR 1064 (42000) at line 10665: You have an error in your SQL syntax” · Been trying to fix this but not have any luck. Tried what was suggested on http://www.ehow.com/how_2036644_import-sql-database.html with the command line but it had the same issue. · Currently trying http://www.phpmag.ru/2009/08/02/mysql-error-1064-42000-when-importing-sql-dumps/ Everytime I put in a command I keep getting the ERROR 1064 (42000) · ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 Any ideas would be good guys Its my work colleague that dealing with this problem, so if any question you need answered, i'll have to ask him Thanks

What driver are you using? Best one is to use the KX driver, it its the most full driver package Have you tried resetting it back to factory defaults?

Is it possiable to revert an import of a database? Or revert changes to a database? It have done a command to import a database into an empty database, but instead it as imported to a database with data in it (moodle) This database I imported was an old database of moodle (v1.9) was trying to get somethin of the old database It instead decided to overwite the current database of moodle, last backup we got was the one I was importing, and that was a few months old!

true but it still cleaner to have one stright from microsoft, as you will not have any old updates installed what so ever in in installed update list. I think the service pack installs some updates before installing the service pack

seems I put the dns recors in the wrong folder Ok next step! How do I get this onto a website address? would like it to be remote.theockendonacademy.com We cant get it to work externally as we need the dns record to be setup, but would like to find out how to make this into a subsomain on our website first! I did manage to get to eithier server in the end by using mstsc /admin command, gusse that overrides all the farm settings

I have attempted to setup 2x Remote Desktop Host Servers I have made a Virtual Hyper V image, with all the roles expect the host and virutal desktop role. I called this rds-services Also installed and configured 2x physical servers for the hosts. I called these, rds-01 and rds-02 I have configured the server to work in a farm, I think I have done this correclly One thing im sure im not setup correct is the dns records. The problems im getting are If I restart all services and remote into for example rds-01 and then try to remote into rds-02 I get this error 'The connection cannot be completed because the remote computer that was reached is not the one you specified. This could be caused by an outdated entry in the DNS cache. Try using the IP address of the computer instead' It the same problem if it tried connection to rds-02 first. I wouldnt be able to remote to rds-01 If I use the IP address for the server I cannot connect to at the time the server seems to still connect to the working one even its the wrong IP Address for that server The next problem I have is that on the web interface, the remote apps try to connect to a computer called remote. This is the name I called the farm. And of course this will not find it.

Try making a new user, could be a problem with the users registry or files If that works then just transfer all his files to the new account

Seems I have done something so stupid, im kicking myself! Being selling some stuff on ebay I now cant find my processor anywhere (seem to remember putting the motherboard back into its box and the thought, oh dam forgot to take the proessor out, then I think I thought to keep it in there so it doesnt get damaged) So im sure I shipped the motherboard with the processor still installed The persion I sold it to, reckons its not there, dont believe that for some reason, He said he is not a theif and he has an i7 920, so he has no need for it, yet my processor is better (i7 965) and he could also sell it! Gonna be kicking myself for this one for ages, nothing i can do really, unless you guys can think of something?

I had this problem thursday Make it so moodle actually creates the database, don't create the database yourself.. That Solved it for me
