yep out of business weird since they decided to move office dont kno0w why the havent at leat updated their website stateing this! not good... we brought 170 new pcs from them lately.... so no more warrentty on each of these! plus more stuff we also had a support contract with them (just in case we cant fix a problem, advice etc) we probs was one of their big customers any advice on what new support company to use? (contract)

Agreed get rid of it plus any other acer software Best bet is to always image a new laptop that way you dont have any rubbish software installed plus its all nice and clean

Any many of these servers you got? if not too many you could try this You could try using the local group policy and use a logon script through that, that way its just for the servers you do that for and not for the whole domain, as your loop back is not working Local Group Policy Editor - Open - Windows 7 Forums

@ tom What I mean by stopping is this. With our Internet you HAVE to connect to it with using their proxy, they will only give you unfliltered internert if you have a good filtering system. That way if we done that, we can control what to block/unblock, would prefere one system instead of two. Plus may be faster as its local. @ Everyone With the last build of impero, 54 I think it was, its like it got very very restricted, even we have not changed the policies, even typing some thing simple like in google images it blocks it. Cant remember extually what the problems are. Did try redeploying it, but thats made quite a few computers with Impero not installed. Hopefully the new build that as been released is better, problery gonna have to reload the computer with a new windows 7 image. It doesnt like being installed on a windows 7 image through, so I will have to make a startup script to start the impero install when the computer starts the first time after windows installed. Im guessing it doesnt like being installed on a windows 7 image because I think it as drivers, which windows removes during System Preperation before the computer restart to create the image.

Ok we tried sending a email to outside external email address... That worked! So it just receving external mail and possiblly both sending and recieving to internal email address.. How do you use message tracking, it just goes to the normal mail site I have looked at the Routing Log View with the lastest log On Active Directory Site & Routing Groups, its go hub site = no What does that mean?

Ok I have spoke too soon When we send outside message to our school email address, nothing happens, it doent get there. If you attempt to send to another school email address your will get a 'delivery is delayed to these recipients or groups' Any ideas? Could it be our Microsoft Forefront Protection For Exchange 2010 blocking it? The only other thing I have done since yesturday is totally uninstall the exchange server on the old server expect from the management tools (throught it is the 2007 tools) Any help would be good?

I would prefere it more simple, tbh all we need is one global list, we have distribtion lists for everything else. Think i'll just change all the staff display names, that way their fist name is hidden.

Now administration/office (one database) Students (one database) Staff (one database) Now cant get any email addresses from the address book We ICT Admins can get this Would there be a reason for this? I see tasks in Task Scheduler for this, but script are missing, dont know how long they have been missing The bad thing is if we cant fix this ourselves, it going to use us maybe a couple of grand to get it sorted, plus me in more trouble for breaking it and the school having to pay money out out for it to be fixed! Would you recommend give Microsoft Forefront Gateway a try? I dont particularlly like e2bn (Protex) service Would prefere just to use one system, at the momment we are using Protex and impero. Thats when impero works, we have some much trouble with that. Would e2bn/LA stop this? What would you say? How easy is it to setup? Does this require entering a proxy address into Internet Explorer? That always causes a lot of problems for us, often staff forget to turn on the proxy when they get back to work. Any information and your thoughts would be good!

I have managed to free up one of our servers (moved some roles over to other servers) Reloaded Windows Server 2008 R2 and installed Exchange 2010 Moved the mailboxes over (created new databases as you need to when moving them over) Moved the offline address book, external connections etc Only problem we are having is that the address book dont work, no one can find email addresses whening typing in. I have found we have three email address policies - Student E-Mail Address Policy - Staff E-Mail Address Policy - Admin E-Mail Address Policy These have a recepients filter linking them to there database this is what is on the recepients filter (Database -eq 'MAIL01\Admin Storage Group\Admin Database' -and RecipientType -eq 'UserMailbox') (Database -eq 'MAIL01\Teacher Storage Group\Teacher Database' -and RecipientType -eq 'UserMailbox') (Database -eq 'MAIL01\Student Storage Group\Student Database' -and RecipientType -eq 'UserMailbox') Im assuming that as this policys are set to the wrong database this is why the email address cant be found when checking someones name in a new email? What would be the correct Exchange PowerShell to update these policies or even create new ones? Sure sure how our support company oringinally set this up... hense this problem Is there a need for all these email policies? Cant we just use one? Or is this needed to connect to the databases? But I cannot show you the batch script because I can not see this is location the Scheduled Tasks is linked to... Someone must have deleted this folder! Hi there guys Ok may have done something stupid here (Not sure) I build 4 windows 7 images Added the images to the server by the wds console Then deleted the 4 wim files as this was now on the server, thought I would not need them. Now I have forgot to put some extra start menu shortcuts in the man profile, plus I forgot to change the owner of the man profile folder to admins (doesnt work atm) and I need to edit the man profile to include 'My Computer' shortcut on the desktop. Now the problem is I cant seem to be able to mount the images on ther server. Is it because there only 3-5mb WIM files now and one big massive RWM file (13.8gb) Is it possable to open it like this, or can you only use the oringinal WIM files? Hope not, dont really want to recreate all the images again
