We are becoming an Academy in Janurary Our current website domain is www.ockendonschool.com Our new website domain is www.theockendonacademy.com I would like 4 subdomains setup for this new domain, would like the subdomains not to have to have parts at the end of the address ie owa, rdweb vle.theockendonacademy.com (Runs from the same server has the school website) This is for Moodle (Server 2008R2) At the momment this is a folder is in our wwwroot IIS folder Link to this at the momment is www.ockendonschool.com/moodle remote.theockendonacademy.com This is for our Remote Desktop Web Connection (Server 2008R2) Link to this at the momment is https://213.38.46.81/RDWeb mail.theockendonacademy.com This is our Exchange 2007 Server (Server 2003R2) Link to this at the momment is https://212.158.104.50/owa eportal.theockendonacademy.com This is for external access to ePortal (Server 2003R2) Link to this at the momment is http://10.146.64.250/eportal/index.jsp I havent done no changes with the council who we get our internet connection with yet. I did give our support company access to our domain registration site, so they can make changes for this to work, but im not too quite happy with what they have done for it. If you look at the attached screenshot of the DNS management from our domain registration site, you will see what they have done. Don't You use some sort of imaging? If you use Windows Deployment Services (WDS) it should take long to get everything running (That if your using Vista or Windows 7) Are you manually installing each app?

It seem on vista you need to install each service pack I believe XP is fine to install SP3 stright away!

Thanks for that secretlife, did search the settings before, most have missed this out somehow, managed to turn the requirement off Now the weird thing I need to do now is make it so I go to the update setting of a resource file and the click save settings, if not i get a question mark file for the icon of the file with a 404 error This seems weird that I would need to do this, hense I'm not actually making any changes to the resourse file

Be carefull with the upgrade Found its made alot of our resource file broken Seem every resourse file that is broken we need to editt it and put in a description in it the save, after that it works. Did not old version not require a description then? New one it seem it has a star beside the box, so you have to have it

Done this yeturday with some bad luck! Seem all our course files get 404 error (Think it was that) When you upload a new course file its fine! Its just all the old files (Major Bugger) Ayone else had this problem? So at my gusse its all the files under legeacy course files section

We sorted this out a while back We have a mantory profile for everyone expect admins The mantory profile ntuser has the regeistry set for each of the special folder has shown below to the following place o:\Documents o:\Pictures o:\Music o:\Videos o:\Favouites And of course all out user have a mapped 'o' network drive and also has no redirection group policys set has the profile has set the correct location already!

We have this projector in a ICT Room Hitachi ED-X3400 Projector Hitachi Projectors: Hitachi ED-X3400 3 LCD projector I have tested this projector as we have new spare of these Hitachi ED-X24Z ED-X24Z : Education : LCD Projectors : English : Hitachi Digital Media Group The picture is too big on the SmartBoard I have measured the distance from the front of the projector to the SmartBoard Distance of this is 254cm The SmartBoard size is a 72inch board Can anyone sugguest a project or quote us for a projector that would work here? Intresting, we run factility stright from the server for the staff. So what the advantage of having there own file in their home drive? Is this the way serco recommends? (not to run stright from the server)
