Just signed on to the VLSC to look as keys etc and noticed I can download and see keys for Server 2012 but for 2012R2 I can only download - Keys tell me "The product you have selected requires a product key for product activation. To obtain your product key, please contact your local Product Activation Call Center" Surely if I can download via VLSC I should have access to the keys as well or am I being thick?

The protection group was configured to back up everything on that server. I created another protection group and just added bare metal backup and system state and hey presto it backed up! (Windows back already installed) So..... what is considered best practice when creating protection groups? Cheers

Ok, so Ive started a new job where they use DPM 2012 (which I have never used) Couple of the back ups are showing Replica Inconsistent for a few of the jobs. I have tried performing a consistency check but no joy. Can anyone give me any pointers on what I should be looking at to resolve these issues. Also...... if I setup a 2nd DPM box, how could I replicate data between them? Cheers

When printing, try changing the colour settings to match on screen...... it somewhere in the settings, had a similar issue with photoshop on 10.8

Ive been asked to provide staff with training on how to use SIMS Reporting....... normally not a problem but I'm doing the training this Wednesday and I am off tomorrow on an informal interview chat.... Can you not run the guest network in isolation mode? They connect, get an IP on your network but cannot browse to other devices on your network unless you put an exception in place. - at least that is how I understand it

On the exchange box have a look in services and see if Exchange Search Index is running - could be one of the dependancies may have failed to start

Using the workflow to bind the Mac to OD and AD, OD binding works fine, AD Binding goes through ok but when rebooted at the end of the process, AD has an issue where the mac reports that AD is not in the Authentication policy. If I bind the mac manually - i have no issues. Anyone any clues? Cheers

We had a Netgear rep come into school as we were in the process of having a new 6th Block build and we wanted to to upgrade our core GSM7352S switches to include an XSM7224S and we were told cannot stack them due to different models but we can link aggregate them using 2 links to get a 20Gb Connection instead of a 10Gb connection from 1 cable.

You can only stack the same model switches. Mxxxx -> Mxxxx XSMxxx -> XSM xxxx You could use a direct attached cable and to they would link at 10Gb but they would be managed as separate switches.
