I have to agree with you there, like most series, the best seasons are always the first couple, 1 and 2 got me hooked, just like everyone else, i just feel, the same way i felt about prison break, the last 2 seasons and the ending were abit of a let down when compared to the first 2, just felt like keeping the show running for the sake of it. needless to say though i have enjoyed, all 6 seasons in part, now just need to find some new shows to get into, im hearing a lot of true blood and dexter, so may start getting into those!

Luckily enough i get to go all the time, been on about 5 or 6 trips this year and 2 x 1 week residentials, its much easier for them to go without a tech for a week and just put up with any problems they have, although have been lucky this year when ive been out, then have a teacher out for a week, and pay for supply, so it works well for both school and me, as its nice to get away from the place for awhile

Ive bought a few acer laptops recently, have got to say, i do love them, very well designed, and great spec for the money, will easily meet your spec for £400. As for dell ive never really used them, although a few staff have the little 10" netbook type things, and they are lovely, but i know theres a lot of people on there that dont rate dell machines at all!! I have a big list of Errors with the event id of 4101 - Display

yeah, absolutely nothing else on this after the rebuild, so exactly how the image wanted it to be
-
thats exactly what ive done, but its just the driver thats included in that rebuild image that isnt correct, or just isnt working properly, in the device manage it says graphics driver working correctly, but i get the warning message on every boot up saying "display driver stopped responding" even google couldnt give me the answer, and reinstalling the latest driver also has done resolved this issue, well and truely miffed!
-
Hi Guys, Having a real problem trying to install the drivers for this chipset, got a vista laptop that feels having the display driver stop responding, so thought it must just be old/wrong driver, having installed the lastest version of the driver from the intel website, it is still not responding, screen keeps flashing like crazy so just had to disable it all together just to be able to work on it. also i might add the one included with the laptop does not work either, so at a real lose as what to do next??

We're at the same point now, our mains board is located right under our switch cab so hopefully we'll do the cabling ourselfs, so will truely be a "free" energy meter will be interesting to see how much juice were using here, only a small school but still will be amazed at how much we waste, i mean use!
-
Hi, We're just about to have an energy display meter installed in school, networked, so readings can be shown on a machine at all times, quite useful i thought, Anyone else got one? if interested read more here Free Energy Display Meter for schools

gettting even worse now, 2nd day on this bloody thing, rebuilt yesterday, only to install windows updates, and the same problem re-occur, bluescreen of death just after logon, having to rebuild now, really interested to see how pc world install they tech guy image, or if phillips image them with it on to start with, either way, the graphics driver included is wrong and buggy, been awhile since i got rid of vista at home (went back to xp before windows 7) now i remember why!!!

This laptop was from pc world, so had the tech guys, recovery system installed on the recovery partition, needless to say i didnt know it was f8 to boot into this tech guys crap!!! managed to do a full system restore now, whatever happened to good old fashioned restore discs lol

Hi ComputingData, Just a quick question, we have now reportplus working on all laptops we need, and staff are writing reports away, we have one desktop that we want to have all the reports back on once everyones finished, do i simply go round with a memory stick and export the pupil file from every machine onto the memory stick, and then import onto the main machine??? also where does it stand with merging and overwriting that file Regards

Hi, A Staff memeber bought me their laptop today, the issue their having is the laptop wont login under their username, boot up into login screen and choose their usename, looks like its going to load their profile, and then the bluescreen of death appears, just about to create another user account to login, and try and move the data across to that for the mean time, just wondered if anyone has had anything like this before? Regards

I am also on a cc4 network which is why i was having exactly the same problems, use the same override.txt file i need to save everything in a folder in C Drive, working a treat now!!
-
What can i say guys, that override feature is just what is needed, thanks so much you 2, really saved my bacon today!!! much appreciated!!

Hi Sven, sorry that post was alittle rushed, what you posted is what i would like to do yes, but the problem i have is, the moment staff take the laptops away from school, the N: drive, there mapped home folder is unaccessable, so they have to save to a usb pen, as C Drive is hidden away. What id like them to be able to do is simply save in there my documents away from school. Hope that is alittle clearer? Regards
-
Hi, In school we have some laptops that we want to give to staff but as their my documents are mapped as N: drive, when they go home and login using local profiles, so what i would like to know is how your staff laptops are attached to the domain in school and have roaming profiles, but away from home still work, and then all work created at home is synced back to the school network once back in school?? Regards

Hi, ive installed report plus on many laptops in school and we were hoping to give them to staff to work from home, ive made each staff a power user on each laptop they are assigned, setup report plus just how we wanted, now only to find testing, that away from school users have no home drive, which is where report plus likes to save all the reports (my documents). Just wondered if anyone here has report plus on staff laptops and how they set theres up, as im banging my head against a wall at the moment!! Regards

yeah, ive managed to get a little further now, it didnt like selecting dhcp for the nic, so just gave it a static ip and now i can choose where to save the image.
