  1. I was promised more in my offer letter - but there's no more in my pay packet
  2. John Martyn - Solid Air -
  3. I reckon it depends - if you can do it piecemeal and tackle a manageable chunk at a time - then DIY is fine. If its a "big bang" and you're shifting everything in one go - personally I'd like a bit of handholding - specially if you're doing SANs etc at the same time - I didn't find them easy to understand straight off.
  4. Happy to take it off your hands if you can't get it going ;-)
  5. Cheapo from Ash Distribution - a couple of quid tops
  6. I'd say train as an accountant - they always have work whether the economy is going up or down, and while I see lots of well qualified IT people working for accountants, I can't think of a situation the other way round..
  7. AviDemux can append files together & is pretty easy to use...and free
  8. I'm a fan of this layout too - it makes for tidy & easy to manage racks.
  9. Dammit - missed it - how did you hear about this? Any chance of a copy? Cheers
  10. I see there was a comparison test of AV in this month's PC Plus - the Vipre didn't come out particularly well afair
  11. Happily drinking a double shot of this Brazil Pre-Blended Espresso Perfetio 2010-2011 Crop from our in office espresso machine while reading this thread, mmmm
  12. When I was still at school (many years ago) myself & a couple of mates split a 100 pack of ProPlus - we thought we were going to die when it kicked in, but after about an hour we were well whizzy and I overtook a car on the way home on my push bike...zoooom
  13. Its still a problem though
  14. How much of the £7bn pot is my bonus?
  15. 79, 50, 70 for me - gosh we're so well to do...in our terraced house.
  16. Don't do it! We've just reimaged all our Samsung screens with Xibo to get rid of the MagicInfo stuff, as it it truly a pile of poo!
  17. Did you get any indicative pricing on the Broadleaf's - they look good from the website.
  18. I don't believe that you can do a direct diesel to lpg conversion - you either need some sort of spark, or you can mix lpg into the diesel and hope for a higher power output (a bit like when we were teenagers and sprayed lighter fuel into the air intakes on our FS1Es to get that "turbo" feeling). For diesel - you're better off looking for (or even producing yourself) a source of used cooking fat that has been cleansed - a lot of diesels run well on that and its very very cheap if you do it yourself
  19. If I did more miles I'd have an LPG conversion - as the price is still significantly cheaper than petrol.
  20. Yep - thats why I use the System Change Log program - it makes it a LOT easier to interpret the logs
  21. We had a standalone server for the old FMS product - so we reused that.
  22. Try this http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/24259-windows-folder-auditing.html
  23. Grumbledook please note for Northants!
  24. Must be me then - I think £6 a pop for tiny bit of thin plastic is a complete rip.
