  1. It seems to be about the going rate - if you find somewhere cheaper let me know )
  2. Another for Eclipse.net
  3. We don't send our projectors away for deep cleans annually just as and when required. Generally it costs us around £140 per projector - majority are Sanyo of various models
  4. We use Adobe InDesign here to do our newsletters in-house.
  5. We produce our school reports via the Profiles module of SIMS and issue to parents via the Learning Gateway as .pdf's
  6. As per your RM unify question, I believe it's not possible to have multiple domains on the one AD. When it was first launched, we were were asked what we would like Unify to do and this is one of the things we suggested which I believe was added to the 'Wishlist'
  7. We use sQuid here - it hasn't been mentioned on this thread but if you do a search on the forums then it has been mentioned previously. We've used in for 2+ years with no issues and it integrates with our CRB cashless catering system.
  8. We insure our Parent contribution schemes but not the iPads owned by the school.
  9. We've done it but our students have cottoned on - they can do the tests at home via our TS.
  10. Thanks for the pointers guys. Will take a look at some of the hot fixes posted here. We've got 4 DC's for around 1,200 clients. Everything has worked fine for 3+ years with a similar number of clients. Obvioussly all clients aren't logging in at the same time as some may have already logged in earlier or standing alone at the logon screen.
  11. Could you create a new attendance code which links to the present mark as they are still in school but not in lesson. You could then run a report and the number of 'appearances' in the sick bay will show if thats what your wanting to report.
  12. @nick3young yeah it works no problem for me via the C:\ going through our smoothwall box. Been sitting working for around 18months now and I have the latest version installed of the dropbox client.
  13. Thanks Gaz I had already tried that the other day, but had planned to give it another shot. Nothing out of the ordinary appeared to show up - but no harm in trying again Cheers
  14. We've had similar issues. Something to do with the Projector's ballast I believe. Cost us around £100 for repair.
  15. We looked at it last month and contemplated using Google Forms, but how you would stop people voting more than once etc, meant we didn't bother in the end and just sent out paper ballot papers.
  16. We've got an issue at the moment where at the start of each lesson, when users are logging onto our workstations the DC runs at 100% with lsass.exe running high basically killing our box. It is taken users up to 3 minutes to logon, eventually after about 5 minutes once everybody gets logged on the load drops again to 4% and continues fine. The network isn't slow or anything and the users experience isn't affected once they finally get logged onto to the network. I have been tinkering with things over the last few days and can't for the live of me work out why it is doing it. We've restarted the servers and the AV across the school is fully up-to-date. Nothing out of the ordinary appears in the event viewer. It's just basically seems that AD can't cope with the number of requests at the same time. If anybody has any idea, what could be up or any pointers that would be great. I've trawled the internet looking for possible causes and lots of people seem to have the issue, but nobody really knows how to fix it. The DC is Windows 2008 R2 and all the clients are running Windows 7 SP1. Cheers
  17. Never could get it to work. I use it for myself pointing to a folder on my C:\Dropbox on my PC, but it doesn't sync my N:\
  18. Yep, as a few of the others point out above it only works with those using SLG. Not sure when the release date is, but I believe its before September.
  19. I have a CSBM (Certificate in Business Management) but never did the DSBM (Diploma). Course was interesting if a little long winded but it reaffirmed my decision that I'd prefer to stick with ICT. Good luck.
  20. Had a demo of the Promeathean Panel yesterday. It looked good, but didn't really have a play as due to a technical issue - the guy couldn't get it to work. Was possibly expensive the models quoted above - I think he quoted RRP just under £3k
  21. The inventory kit for 1 touch screen, printer, software etc. was around £3,750. I can't remember the others off the top of my head but were cheaper. The SG World solution was around £1,000 cheaper
  22. We use sQuid as mentioned above. In a secondary though not primary but it should still be fine.
  23. Speak to your reseller. They will place an order with Microsoft for £0.0.
  24. As i've said in another post. Air-watch will do what your after other than it not been free.
  25. Thanks guys for pointing out the links! The big red arrow helps
