  1. I think it's a bug: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/13187
  2. Just had a blocked notification from sophos whilst browsing a thread: 20140927 172529 Blocked web request to "www.trendingcentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/BBC-News.jpg" (linked from "www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/142634-just-out-curiosity.html") for user removed. 'Troj/JsRedir-NV' has been found at this website @ZeroHour
  3. You'll probably need to add software to that too....http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/142557-apple-releases-then-withdraws-ios-8-0-1-a.html
  4. You also need to change a setting within the WSUS options for this to work: Options > Computers > select the group policy option
  5. I tried this....and I now have a nice lump of plastic and metal sitting on my desk. It produced a nice firework show though!
  6. There are some registry values mentioned here that you could use in the registry bit of group policy preferences.
  7. Yes. I had a user report that this was broken. After much unsuccessful fiddling about the user mentioned that the app had been updated and it stopped working around that time.
  8. Thanks Nick. Tried that and it returns an error about an incorrect username and password: {"FirstName":null,"SiteName":null,"Token1":null,"Token2":"System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x8007052E): The user name or password is incorrect.\u000d\u000a\u000d\u000a I have verified that the hap account password is indeed correct in setup.aspx. (I have also tried setting up hap on both a windows 7 machine and another 2012r2 machine on my test domain at home and both had the same result when using a domain admin account)
  9. Hi Nick, I have sent you a PM containing the room booking section from hapconfig.xml
  10. Do the users have the ability to write to HKLM? If not, try putting it under startup scripts in computer settings rather than user settings in GPO. You could also use group policy preferences with item level targeting to apply it to windows 8 machines (again, use computer config rather than user config)
  11. I think the underlying vnc software in Skeep is UltraVNC. TightVNC is what I'd recommend.
  12. I mainly use the keyboard, but on the odd few machines I have to use the power button. Have a look at the keyboard/mouse power management tab in device manager as there is a check box to 'Allow this device to wake the computer'. It may be worth having a look in the advanced power plan settings in the control panel too.
  13. This time it could be down to lack of free space: [setup Disk Usage]2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d2] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] ------ Drive X: ------ 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d3] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] Total bytes on drive: 912504.0 MB (956829790208 bytes) 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d4] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] Free bytes available to user: 876436.8 MB (919010643968 bytes) 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d6] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] Found Setup folder/file [bT Folder ]. 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d2] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] ------ Drive D: ------ 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d3] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] Total bytes on drive: 40960.0 MB (42949668864 bytes) 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d4] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] [color="#FF0000"]Free bytes available to user: 12031.5 MB (12615925760 bytes)[/color] 2014-08-26 17:39:44, Info [0x0640d6] IBSLIB [setup Disk Usage] Found Setup folder/file [LS Folder ]. I'm assuming drive D: is your drive C: when not booted into winpe.
  14. Had a quick look through the logs and found lots of the following: Failed to unload offline registry Do you have antivirus/antispyware programs running whilst the upgrade is in progress? If you do then try uninstalling it and attempt the upgrade again.
  15. Have a look at this KB article - Yes it's for vista but it gives a large list of logs
  16. Development hasn't stopped as such (there are release candidate versions of SWE 3.1 available). If you still want to use smoothwall, check your default security level and make sure that it is either half-open or open otherwise all outgoing traffic will be blocked. However, I echo (ha!) @FN-GM 's comment about pfSense. I moved from SW to pfSense about 4yrs ago and have not looked back since.
  17. If the machine isn't a DC, I'd take a full system image and backups of any role config files (e.g. NPS has a powershell module to export/import the config)
  18. Have you downloaded the add on modules from the HAP website? Booking system Helpdesk
  19. I've just had a look on my 2012r2 server and it only goes up to IE10...however Microsoft have a KB article stating that the IE10 settings also apply to IE11. Once you have edited the IE GPP settings on a 2012/2012R2 machine, you will need to edit them on a server 2012/2012R2 or windows 8.1 machine with the RSAT tools installed as 2008R2 will display a message something along the lines of the XML file being invalid.
  20. Install the group policy management console on the 2012 server (it's on the features page) or edit the GPP settings as described here by duxbuz.
  21. Yep, the resources have been populated (as well as rooms and a few subjects too)
  22. Hi Nick, I only have a fullcalendar.min.js file. No fullcalendar.js though. FYI I downloaded fullcalendar from the authors website (same version as used in hap) and tried the fullcalendar.js on the offchance that it would work but it didn't.
  23. Download the trial of server 2012 R2, install the Windows Server Essentials Experience role and have a play with it. It doesn't have all the things you listed but it has a number of them It will give you: Group policy Folder redirection Windows Deployment services (You will need to install the WDS role separately) I think there is a special server essentials console that allows you to manage various bits and bobs (users/remote access/folder redirection etc) rather than using the standard active directory tools. Custom login scripts can be set via group policy, if needed. Providing you have clients that are running at least Windows 7 you can also set a custom logon screen background via group policy too.
  24. I have found the same thing - I think i fixed it by importing the CA certificate and/or the certificate for the NPS server into the trusted root certification store of the local machine. It means that you'll have to do it on every machine though.
