That'll teach me for not reading the article properly! I wouldn't mind paying 50p a month if the government stopped their futile attempts to curb file sharing and "piracy". I can't see that happening though.

I have Virgin Media but no phone line in my house so I wouldn't have to pay it anyway. Oh well.

I've had Windows 7 running on my Samsung NC10 nice and smooth. No problems at all. Specs: 1.6Ghz Atom, 1gb RAM, 160gb HDD. Integrated Graphics.

I'm happy to donate and it's a very good cause but I have a concern : If you've never done it before, how are they letting you jump solo? I'm probably going to answer my own question here and say you've received a lot of training. I thought you had to do some tandem jumps first. Maybe I'm wrong Anyway, I'll go and donate now

I used a mixture of this guide (upto step #12): Sysprep a Windows 7 Machine ? Start to Finish V2 - Blog.BrianLeeJackson.com And this guide: Windows 7 Sysprep – Tips & tricks TXT (dot) bitprocessor (dot) be It's basically a VBS script which runs after the machine has been sysprepped. On the first run a window pops up and prompts for a computer name BEFORE it joins the domain. That second link was very useful as it had a sysprep.xml file that could be changed. Hope this helps, we have just started getting some success with deploying Windows 7 using this and Ghost

Excellent, let me know what it's like once you've had a play.

I'm testing FOG as we are looking to get rid of ghost but I'm getting the same PXE-E55 problem when trying to get a host to connect. Has anyone managed to resolve this problem?
-
That's fair enough, what were you looking at spending?
-
Yeah I agree with you John. My recommendations are based on price but if you are willing to spend a bit more, get a Samsung. Something like this: Samsung LE22B350 22" LCD TV Freeview HD Ready 1366x768 1xHDMI PC Input 1xSCART Black 1 Year Warranty - Ebuyer
-
19" Foehn & Hirsch with Freeview built in (£124.99): Foehn & Hirsch 19" HD Ready Widescreen LCD TV Freeview 300cd/m2 1000:1 5ms HDMI/VGA/Scart Glossy Black 3 Years Warranty - Ebuyer Same model but with built in DVD (£149.99): Foehn & Hirsch 19" HD Ready LCD TV/DVD Combo Freeview 1440x900 300cd/m2 1000:1 5ms HDMI/VGA/Scart Glossy Black 3 Years Warranty - Ebuyer I haven't used that brand personally but if that's the kind of price you're looking at, they both have pretty good reviews. EDIT: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/165285 it costs £199.99 but is 23" LG so might be worth considering.

And people call me a geek for having two monitors! -
Ouch! (For both things).

Agreed, Christmas usually tends to take it's toll into February.

I can hear the mods coming, everyone scatter! I'm glad it's Friday but what makes today even better is that it's pay day
-
Yeah Swindon was pretty clear until an hour or so ago. Dingy and snowy now. Let us hope it snows heavily over night,

[joke] I Need Some Advice: A Friend of mine has said...
Fatmas replied to 6Foot2's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
Oh dear you better rein these jokes in. -
We do try and get the teachers to help monitor the kids but it doesn't always work out that way. The thing is, we can't spend all our time watching Impero! Not that we know of. We are just keeping a general eye on things but trying not to let it take over our lives this week
-
If they are playing games, I sometimes block the site and close the window for them so they can be motivated to work It's always funny watching them use google to search for: "unbanned games" or, to get round the word block: "g ames"
-
It must be the end of term because.... The school has turned into a multiplex cinema screening the latest DVD releases. A good game to play: Use monitoring software such as Impero and try to guess what film is being shown in each classroom.

Made me giggle *Have some rep*

@Dos_Box: Thanks for clearing that up and keeping everything clean and legit. The "Daft Racist" comment was a reference to an episode of Alan Partridge and I did not mean to imply that Prince Philip is intentionally racist.

Ahhh Philip you crazy old fool. Prince Philip: A history of verbal gaffes - Local & National, News - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk

Cheers for that, I might have to get Shadow Complex if I remember
