Any particular reason not to use SCCM? It's a bit of a minefield I know, there is always the option for us to stick with Ghost but as my other thread here mentioned, we are also looking to move away from prism so if something did both, that would be ideal.

I am back needing yet more advice on deployment... We are currently using Ghost for our OS deployment and will be looking at moving to Windows 7 next Summer. We are also looking at a couple of alternatives to Ghost to see if we can save some cash or just "do it better". I've had a quick look at Fog but does anyone else have any preferred methods of OS deployment around their school?

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with the 3 cell battery. I've never used it but my 6 cell version lasts 5-8 hours depending on usage. Me and my housemate also found that the battery seems to last longer on Windows 7 than it does on Ubuntu.

Those NC10's run Windows 7 really well if you fancied it. My housemate ran Ubuntu on his NC10 and I must say it ran like a dream. Everything seemed to just work too.

One feature in '10 that makes it for me. Ability to edit player numbers in Manager Mode! It felt like a game breaker last time, especially when strikers would take number 2 or something stupid. I still have no idea why they took it out in the first place.

Quick bit of background: At the moment we are using Prism for application deployment. All our machines are windows XP based and prism seems to work fine. We are however moving to Windows 7 next Summer and I have been tasked into looking into alternatives to application deployment. I've been told that Spec-Ops is a good bit of software to use but I want your opinions or any recommendations you might have. If you need any more information just let me know. Thanks guys and girls

Going to have to agree with kevbaz here. In earlier versions I could see both arguments for playing either Fifa and Pro Evo but Fifa 09 and the '10 demo have been getting the nod from even the most hardened PES fans I know. Saying that though, If you like PES, buy PES.

I do always base my choice of Fifa/PES on pitch textures The new Fifa 10 looks a lot better than PES 10 I think. I know a lot of "PES" fanboys that think fifa plays a lot better than pro evo this year.

Here is my opinion of the Pro Evo Demo: It's clunky I've always been in the Fifa camp and have kept an open mind with PES but Fifa seems to be running away with it in the last couple of years.

I must admit I'm not too familiar with the ins and outs of the fingerprint system. I'm not the network manager here and have only been told the general overview of what's going to happen (It is happening in the next few months mind). But I think the staff have been very careful of the "human rights" factor in terms of what information is stored. Everybody seems to be on board with it too.

We are planning to make the move to Windows 7 next summer and because of this, we are testing it on a couple of machines just so we are prepared for all the problems we will face. Now, we are having problems installing Sophos AV over the network onto our Windows 7 client, anybody else had this problem? I can't really be anymore specific than that, it just doesn't want to install... Any ideas would be appreciated EDIT: Got a bit more information, the client machine is detected in the enterprise console, It just won't go down.

We are going to be using it for cashless catering but it should be noted that at no point is the child's finger print saved. The system measures unique points on the print to create a unique string for each child. Because of the way this is calculated, it cannot be reversed to find out a fingerprint. So the system only actually saves a string of numbers, not an image of the fingerprint itself. That put a lot of parents concerns at rest when the system was proposed. (So i've been told anyway!)
