I saw this on Reddit earlier in the week, it's disgusting that the FBI can put a tracking device on your car without a warrant and then ask for it back when you find it. I sense a cop buddy movie coming....

I have two folders in "My Documents" at home: Pr0n. Not Pr0n.

It's probably to stop spam edits, if anybody could edit anything on Google maps all hell would break loose.

Contact Google, I belive there is a reporting link on Google Maps you can use. Explain the situation and it should get sorted out.

He won't be labelled for life if he doesn't get convicted. All his record would have to say is the relevant part of the act and the media forget things very quickly. When he is released in 16 weeks there won't be any coverage. Nobody will remember his name.

I think whether you have anything to hide or not is irrelevant. I wouldn't let the police have any of my passwords and would do anything I could to stop that happening. I have nothing to hide but it's my personal information. The guy in question should have used a "dummy" encrypted OS with a hidden OS inside that one, As long as you use the dummy OS every so often it's almost impossible to detect the hidden OS. You can then give them the password for the dummy OS quite safely. Personally, I haven't set up any encryption so my Windows system is not secure at all! (password or not)

16 weeks for not disclosing your password? Disgusting. A huge fine and/or prison time for mp3's, films etc.. that could be in the encrypted partition? Even more disgusting. He should of claimed he had forgotten it. I don't think the police can ask him again, it is also highly likely they will never crack his password if it's 50 characters long: Assuming punctuation !@#*($ Numbers 1203981023981 and the Alphabet are available and you're using a standard PC. That's 4.36 thousand trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion years (That's really long). Even if every PC on earth was used to crack that password it would still take a **** ton of years to brute force.

Agreed, he made an open challenge to one of the most dangerous vigilante groups on the internet. Bad times.

The complaints against him are because of the unethical methods his company use to try and stop "file sharing". ACS:Law (As far as I know) send out letters to suspected file sharers demanding an arbitary sum of money to stop any further legal action. A fair majority of these letters are being sent out to innocent parties and people that don't pay do not get any further action taken against them. This company survives by relying on people paying up without question. The aggressive nature of the letters cause frighten many people into paying them. That is what many people (including myself) have a big problem with.

No sympathy for him. If we wants to pursue over zealous legal action using tracking methods that are proven to be inaccurate, you're going to get burned somewhere along the line.

Secondary school with 1100 kids: 6 x Suites of 26 (25+ teacher) machines (All machines under 2 years old). 1 x Suite of 30 (29 + teacher) machines (A few years old.) DT room with 12 machines (a few years old) A "Conference room" with about 6 machines. Every teaching room has a machine. 2 laptop trolleys (16 in each). <- These are a few years old and starting to break. We are trying to tone down laptop trolley use as we think we have enough ICT suites that they shouldn't be needed very often.

I've been told the 107 sounds almost like a Jag C type, almost.

The Aygo/C1/107's are very fun little cars to drive. Their 1.0l engine struggles with four people but it can be quite spritley in town.

At first I thought Fifa 11 was quite slow and seemed much more "tactical". It was also much harder to score on professional upwards. Although after playing it over the weekend I'm enjoying it much more. Once you get used to the new passing style you can get some really nice fluid football going. Scoring is getting easier also, even on World Class! I haven't played the new PES yet so I can't comment but I will have to give it a look.

PES is ok, I just don't want to play as "Manchester Red", "West London Blues" or "Midland 11 United SUPER SQUAD"

You keep very close tabs on your techs I would of got it this morning but it was raining, I am too lazy and I still feel ashamed that I went to the midnight launch of GTA IV.

Windows 7 here, 1 image to rule them all. I have the different drivers in the deployment toolkit so we only need 1 image. (That's approx 400 desktops and 50 laptops).

Never had any problems with Virgin. Had 20mb, always got between 14 - 20mb speeds so I'm happy with that. The caps are very generous and only apply at certain times of day. (7gb between 10am and 3pm?! Not a problem at all). Even 4.5gb between 4pm and 9pm isn't bad. I've always found the customer service to be fine. The only reason I'm with Sky (Ergh) now is because the new flat I'm in doesn't get Virgin and is already set up to receive Sky. Also, A friend who did a year at Broadcom reckons the Virgin modems (hardware and firmware) can support upto 400mbps (Hmmm).
