What you need is anProxy, works fine on a unrooted HTC. This has user authentication settings. We found, that with this, and any other Proxy util, we were getting the "Too many redirects". However, using OperaMini as a browser worked. Does mean that all the other apps I use (Facebook, TweetDeck etc) still dont work. Gary

I can confirm that the above link/solution works a treat. Our CS5 install works fine here. The only issue we came across, was it wouldnt install on a machine that has, or had previously had installed Macromedia MX. When we brought it, was dreading the install, but found the Adobe Application Manage a life saver, having had previous issues with just Photoshop Elements. Gary

Its Filezilla we are using, it didnt work until we changed the rule order. I'm just happy it worked, as updating the school website was being a pain. I think it is one of those things, that different ways work for different people, I just wanted to pass on what worked for us.

No ISA Client installed. Nothing installed on our PC's, just using standard FTP software.

We had a similar issue. We could conntect, but was read only. We made all the changes so that FTP connections were not read-only, but the continued to do so. Found this thread today, while doing to research, and thought I would pass on todays findings :-) We found, that if the FTP rule, was very early in the list, then it works fine. Towards the end of the list, then it would still be read-only. So if you are still having issues, then try placing for rule for FTP closer to the top of the list. Gary

Just be careful where you blow. We used a compressor, and had the "crazy idea", to blow around the filter access hole in a projector.. follwed being a thin film of dust over all the mirrors and lens... :-( We didnt use that again...

Top one is as described, newer is the same, but there are 2 screws underneath. They are both labelled "K". They can be fiddly, just becareful not to push them to to far. Gary

We are weighing the 2 options. We (Tech Team), are looking towards going vanilla. Management are thinking of moving away from RM, partly due to ££ but, recently due to the "support" we have had. We have just transferred our Sims Learning Gateway to a LEA hosted solution, so has given us 2 nice servers to be our test beds (2xQuad Zeons) From managements point of view, if the Vanilla system can offer the same or better setup (printer management, RMTutor type apps etc) they are happy. As we dont have any CC4 or CC3 including CC4 licenses, upgrading to CC4 with 800+ clients, just on the client license cost was huge. We have said though, it wont happen overnight, and we will need time to get a working solution, before we impliment onto the live network.

I have had a iPhone for 3 years or so now (2G, then 3G), and just switched to a Desire. Think its excellant. Easily intergrated into Exchange (as it had already been set for the iphone), so no extra work needed there. I'm not anti-iphone, if I hadnt seen the Desire, I would have kept using the 3G. The Desire, just has a nicer "feel". Of course, Im comparing to the 3G (not even S), so as a comparision to the iPhone 4 might be more equal.

Just spotted the date...

The school are going down the route of a Cisco VOIP solution, and the provider is wanting a VLAN, but cant help, as our switches is mostly 3Com. We are also a CC3 school, so would ideally keep the default VLAN for the curriculum network, but add an additional VLAN for the VOIP. The cabling in the school, will allow the actual infastructure to be kept apart upto the Core switches (3 x 3Com 5500 in each building, connected via fibre) I am buying a number of Cisco PoE switches from them, as the 3Com ones we have can be a bit tempremental at times, and require a power-cycle. And so they all should uplink only onto the 3Com 5500G switches. Anyone got any suggestions?

I do miss my RiscPC, the case for it was before its time... adding the extra slices seemed so "elite"
