That method is how ours is also setup. We also have set the default save filetypes also, as we have a OSX/WinXP domain.

Hi How did/do you stop Pupils on the Macs being able to browse the network, and get access to directory list ect on the CC3 servers. Gary

Here (A NottsCC Technology College), we have no "network manager", we have a Snr Tech (myself 10yrs - Scale 5) and 2 technicians (both on Scale 3, been here 3 and 6 years) We are'nt allowed to take time off at all during term-time, and as from last summer, only 2 weeks in the summer. Ideally I would work as much as the summer as possible, if we could take a week off term-time. As like all schools, the summer holiday is when most projects get done.

Just bugs me that they want to charge more for tethering. Will soon have a Dell Mini 10v, and on the odd occasion would like to tether. I can do now, but not sure how well o2 can detect users that are tethering.

Thats right, but by default, you cant share MKV files ect.

OT but, how have you got that setup? I have one of the ATi cards with the unified video decoders setup, and will happily play 1080p on the PC, but would like to stream to the Xbox. That is currently just setup to play the SD movies etc. Gary

That should work anyway... here we have vle.* (moodle) comm.* (moodle) mail.* (exchange) folders.* (webfolders) share.* (sharepoint) They are all internal http://www.* (website) Is external, but isnt listed in the zone, so goes out on the internet to fetch. We mainly did first due to moodle, having upgraded to 1.9 ove the summer from 1.7, and was having issues with the fix to get around the server having 2 domains. We then added mail and share, as we purchased a wildcard SSL cert for our domain. Gary
