I blame the hip hop artists glorifing gang culture. One thing which baffles me was the government was hell bent in the late eighties early ninties on banning acid house parties and the removal of chill out rooms due to the explosion of recreational drug use. They weren't happy that upto 15,000 people at an event were getting loved up and having a good time". But now gangsta rap and drive by shootings don't seem to be worth bothering about? Why?

Good morning all, I'm having a spot of bother trying to create RM images from scratch for our CC3 network. I have tried to create a vanilla image and then talisman with the commisioning tools to convert. Somehow when doing this, even running the smartclient.bat the image will not connect to the domain. When I try the full RM procedure via the floppy drive, I cannot seem to get VM ware to pick up the physical network card, only the AMD Lance virtual card and no driver seems to want to run Is there a way around this? I did create a slipstream DVD disk with sp3 and the ulitmate driver pack included using Nlite, but for some reason when I try and create a VM machine it won't join our domain so we need to go back to basics lol

I think we sourced it through RM so we haven't created an account with microsoft? Andy T

Help, Our only copy of our site vanilla disk (xp pro October 2001?) has just exploded inside a pc, has anyone got a spare unused one lying around or how do we go about getting a replacement? Cheers, Andy T

We don't as the girls are always charged for either the print credits and the departments for the toners which are not on the credit system. We have currently moved to a print managed system and as its like big brother, the girl and teachers don't need a policy to know if they take the proverbial they will be caught out. We're lucky in the sense of this being an all girls well behaved grammar school they are all angels-bless!

We use the RM print credit system, plus the papercut NG free to keep for an audit. Downside is that the RM system is not Mac compatible

My first question would be, just how much value do you place on your data. I would say also running a recovery scan on a physically degrading drive can do more damage than good if the head crashes into a sector which contains cricital data it could be game over. Having seen disk platters which have been succumbed to head crash its frightning how deep a gouge you get in the disk platter!

I would disagree with the on par or better, but the margin is getting smaller. Just look at IT recruitment websites and you can still see a 5-7k difference in some roles. But that maybe down to the individual company wanting to take someone on and look to retain rather than keep having to re advertise and re interview at extra cost when people take flight

Also, we had large class devide under thatcher in the 70s and 80s. Are we now going down the same road using different terms for it?

It gets my goat this schizzle between private and public sectors. The BBC have your say is rife with people who attack the public sector. Its common knowledge that public sector jobs are lower paid and pensions are higher, but people forget they have EVERY oppertunity to decide which sector they want to work in and if they choose private then thats completely their choice to do so. My opinion is that the financial crisis was created by the private sector and the public sector are the very first to be targeted.
