Data. I barely use my phone for calls and I don't send vast amounts of text, but I get though close to 1Gb of data a month. If I had unlimited, I could get Google Music on the go and leave my iPod at home.

I think this stuff should be taken via an intravenous drip.

Nope, had no O2 branding at all, all it had were the standard stock HTC apps/widgets. It had none of the generic O2 Apps/Menu entries either. Even the box was O2 free... Sounds promising! Think I'll try and find a SIM card to test in it... just a shame that everyone I know has iPhone 4/5's with mini/micro SIM cards.

That much is true! I remember when I started playing DayZ with my mates. The N/W airfield was the place to be. However, when you got geared out and shot, it was a PITA to get form the coast back to your body... and 99% of the time it had been raped and hidden! Choppers/vehicles are a must. I never bother getting them working though, I just let others do that then steal them!!!

Yea, that too. I know some of these "mobile accessory" stands you see in shopping centers will do it for £10, but ideally I'd rather spend zero on it. It's an HTC Desire HD. I did root my phone and am running a custom ROM. Actually thinking about it, I'm not even sure if my phone is locked! I bought it through Carphone Warehouse as O2 did not see the phone I wanted directly...

There seem to be a lot of sites that will "unlock" your phone by providing you a code. Not sure how legit these places are, but is there any way to 'self-unlock' your phone which does not involve paying for a code from a 3rd party website?

Oooo, I am currently with O2 and network coverage is fine where I am! Thanks chaps, looks like GiffGaff will be the network of choice then. Even at £12 a month, it will still save me £25 every month:)

Interesting, just stumbled across GiffGaff and for £12 a month, you get 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data! The unlimited data tempts me for the likes of Google Music.

My mobile contract is up for renewal in two months. Instead of paying a stupid amount for unused minutes and texts, I'm planning on keeping my existing phone and getting a SIM only deal. I've stumbled across Talkmobile. I've never heard of them before but they have a "Data" 12 month SIM contract which includes 100 minutes, 200 texts and 1Gb of data a month for only £8.00. Has anyone used Talkmobile before, or have any idea if they are any good and which network they use? I'm also with TalkTalk for home phone & internet and they do customer only offers but again, no idea which network they use and if they are any good? I can get 200 mins, 3000 texts and 500Mb of data (doubled to 1Gb if I buy the SIMS online) from them. Any other recommendations greatly received!

If it's more than 24 hours since you checked on it, chances are it's gone!!! You should of stuck out a bit more as there are some events like that. First is a boss to take down, then later on there is a blatant L4D2 rip of having to gas up a truck to escape, then another boss or two. Wile it's pretty linear, it's still good fun on the harder difficulties.

Even though a DayZ stand alone is due out, they are bound to port it into ARMA3 so worth having it for that when it happens!!!

Yea, they are effectively "tanks" with MG42's. They are a nightmare. There are also suicide zombies that are covered in Stielhandgranate's and dynamite that charge you. Normal zeds use hands/teeth/entrenching shovels. The zombies and sniping concept works really well. Adds pressure when you have 50 zombies heading towards you. You have to make every shot count.

If you have £9.99 spare, and you also have three friends who also have £9.99 spare, I highly recommend you all get on Steam and purchase Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army for some serious four player co-op action fun. WW2? Snipers? Zombies? What more could you ask for!!! While it seems to be getting bad rep by the reviewers, it's actually great fun playing co-op with mates and is a bit 'Left 4 Dead'. The more of you there are, the more the zombies come. There is an awesome selection of sniper rifles, and it looks nice as well.

the iOS version has Origin built in. Downloaded it onto my phone last night and see it doesn't on Droid.

Thinking and typing two different things I think: I like the idea of tucking the cable in the skirting board! True, our block of flats is similar to this: Being in the middle flat, the front room has the yellow cladding on it, and the brick wall is on the bedroom front. When we had Sky installed, we had a choice of black or white cable. The white blends in nicely on the beige cladding and stands out a mile on the dark bricks, and vice versa with the black cable. Maybe best to avoid a second cable on the front of the house. When I say OTT, I mean in the context of my wi-fi existing connection being acceptable, can I really be arsed to move all the furniture in the front room, remove the skirting boards, chisel canals out for the cable to go in, lay the cable, put the skirting back on the walls, move the furniture back, and then repeat the process all over again in the bedroom and then the spare room for what will be an small gain with transferring files from my NAS to PC. I agree it does sound the neatest option and something I will do when we move into a bigger place, but I think for the moment I'll just remain happy with the wireless connection I have.
