Looking for any SOLUS3 related issues to raise at a technical session Friday. Decided to do a quick search only to find I've already seen and posted in 99% of them!!!

I suddenly remembered I have remote access to my media centre which has Steam on it! I connected through, bought it and it's downloading now. 5.1Gb in total. When I get in, I'll just copy it across the network to my PC. I'd do anything for a curry!!!

Wish I had WOL on my home PC. I would totally boot it up and buy it remotely so it was ready for when I got home! Guesses at size? I'm gonna say 8-10Gb. You got the details of that server you play on Hale?

EA are making a mess of most things these days and this sounds no different. The mussis likes the Sim City games, but after seeing on Origin that it's £45 for the standard game, £65 for the Deluxe edition, they can go and burn.

New rig is up and I am simply loving it!!! I had no idea how small SSD's where, and how stupidly quick it is compared to my old machine! Glad I went for the pro option! The AMD FX-8350 runs like a dream, and even my GPU is holding it's own. Got ARMA2 running and it looks incredible and the FPS jump is astounding. It's like I'm playing a totally different game!

Hand me a fail card. I double checked the PSU and case holes and it DID fit the other way! Air intake and air filter now aligned!

You could as an alternative get external USB drive and use QtdSync with it. You could then set up the backup task to run whenever you plug the external drive in. Once dione, disconnect the drive and store it away from the PC? Only think is to remember to actually plug the drive in regularly to get a up to date backup!

I set it to silently run at load the last backup was ran over 1 day ago. It does not take long to add/replace and new or changed files.

I use an App called QtdSync which is simply AWESOME. It's a small, low resource app that runs in the system tray and allows you to set up backup routines. Simply choose a source, destination and how often to run (daily, weekly, on boot, before shutdown etc) and it will do exactly what you want. It will copy your source to the backup location, then replace any changed/updated updated files in your backup, remove any files you have deleted from your source, and it gives you the option to keep a history too. It will also run silently in the background and it's free. I can't recommend it enough! QtdTools - QtdSync

Once someone has re-tweeted it, it's effectively a copy and is "their" tweet. So deleting your original will have no effect on the re-tweet.

Good spot, but it's not a fail on my part. The screw holes on the PSU don't align to the holes on the case when it's the other way round (which is annoying) hence having to put it that way in so it fits.

Already done and made a note of the details. Ran the ARMA2 night time benchmark level and got a super wicked FPS average of 2 frames a second!!! Your move new rig...

DayZ standalone will be out first. Bohemia were on target to get ARMA3 out by Q4 last year but decided to hold off and bug fix/refine it even more due to the huge interest in the DayZ standalone. I'll blatantly be getting both, and will be doing the co-op online with Nerf!

Awesome site, thanks for the link. Interesting to see that the 285 is superior to the 650. @OB1 is right too, I swapped the comparison from the 650 to the 660 and the performance jump was incredible!

Nice. 24.5" widescreen. Think I'll pout this thread on hold then and see what kind of performance I get out of it. To be honest, my old rig's CPU was most likely the bottleneck so have never got to fully utilise the card.

I'm looking to replace it. My new rig will be built on the weekend and I'll be using my GTX 280 until I can afford a upgrade to it, depending on how it performs in my new rig that is. It it's causing a bottleneck, I will replace it within a month or two. If not, I may keep it for longer. Bad experiences with ATI (I mean AMD) graphics cards in the past. Plus the relentless driver updates when they find a bug are a nightmare. Like some people will settle for nothing less then an Intel CPU for gaming, I will settle for nothing less than an Nvidia GPU. On a separate note, has anyone bought a cheap low end Nvidia GPU and set it to dedicated Physix processing?

From what I've heard in the news, DNA testing is being carried out on most beef and products that contain meat. But what about the less-obvious beef products? Beef stock/beef stock cubes, or pre-made beef gravy? I presume they would use some form of beef extract in their creation making them viable to for cross-contamination? And what about beef flavored crisps? I would also assume that some form of been extract is used, and cant all be made up with artificial flavoring? And what about pet food that contains beef? I know the main scare is not the meat itself but the potential drugs given to the horses. Is this harmful to dogs or cats? Is it more potent to them as they are 'smaller'?
