The first Steam sale did happen as the e-mail said. Steam usually do have a Christmas sale so if the e-mail is not 100%, there will still be a sale soon I reckon.

I'm not sure I'm happy about the initial £20 (pre) Alpha price tag. I would have been happy at £10/£15, but considering it's going to go up in price the further it gets developed, it's put me off a bit. Part of me wants to get it right now and play as I do miss playing DayZ. The other half is over DayZ due to the sheer amount of time it's taken to hit Stream and the fact most people stopped playing. It's not as much fun on your own.

I doubt anyone apart from Capita has as there are hundreds and hundreds of them! Connect to a SIMS database via Management Studio and you can see all the tables, their names may give hints as to what they are for.

Sorry @HaleStorm, took a while to register you were on our squad! I was on my Teamspeak server initially with some other mates, and then Beetle was on and left the game before you joined. Cam joined so I just stayed on there. Some very hit and miss games last night.

Was it really?!!?!?!?! As the devs have said, don;t get too attached to worlds and chars as ongoing updates and improvements may result in needing to wipe and start from scratch.

Out of curiosity, I'm wondering why those running Server 2003 have not upgraded before now? Capita announced it's end of support for it (and XP) two years ago. I can understand taking a risk with running the clients still on XP, but is running the SIMS Autumn upgrade on your 2003 server a bit too risky? While Capita say nothing has been introduced to break it on XP/Server 2003, what happens if it does break SIMS?

SIMS 2013 Autumn (7.154.21). It will automatically include the SIMS Database 2013 Autumn as part of the rollout. Why Capita release them in two separate packages though I don't know. Why would anyone want to upgrade the SIMS database only?

Starbound is now available on steam! It's resembles Terraria a fair bit (made by a number of the Terraria devs) but it's more 'sci-fi' themed. You have your own space ship, and you can hop between worlds! It also has what Terraria lacked, a tutorial! I've played it for a few hours and it's been good fun. It's beta and the devs say expect updates and new features thick n' fast! If you play multiplayer, be sure to get in a group and beam up to a friends ship and steal their lighting and doors! And fill their space ship up with dirt blocks too!
