Yup - All your machines do have unique names don't they? As this can happen if you join two machines with the same name to the network.

When building VM's I always use different VMDKs (Vmware equivalent of VHDs). I've also done both ways with Luns on the SAN as well (each vmdk on a lun and just large luns with mutliple vmdks on it). I can't say I have noticed a difference between it. Personally I also create the disks with Fixed sizes rather than thin provision as you can cause problems for yourself.

Not tried this is 2.x but in 1.x you could edit the username in the database directly using something like phpmyadmin. You would just need to delete the second account.

Currently beta testing this AppSense DataNow - AppSense - so far seems very good and quite reliable (just slight issue on Android jelly bean). So far we have tested on Win 7, OSX, IOS, android, gingerbread seems to perform very well and comes as a virtual appliance.

Look through your DNS - do you have records for Auto discover pointing to your exchange server? You should be able to run from the exchange power shell Test-OutlookWebServices I think

I think it is todo with autodiscover. Can the users access the out of office via OWA?

Bit of a hoping questions - does anybody have a copy of Windows SBS 2003 or have a link to anywhere i can download it? need to do a recovery of a server and can only get hold of SBS 2003 R2 on technet and volume licensing sites.

Sounds like you IGMP snooping enabled. Although if you have unmanaged switches you will be unable to enable it.

My bad - i re read the second post I read "you supply it to them whether in school or not." as "you supply them or not". Securus do the I device management i think which a lot of schools will already have which could be a limiting factor (if schools already have this in place).

That's fair enough. But at what point do you need to let the parents control what the kids do at school? How many parent's are going to want to let the school completely manage a device they have paid for?

Ok doesn't provide the filtering but the management side of things can easily done via Meraki's mobile mangement for IPad's with android support coming soon. there are also other free ipad management things out there.

I'm after something to do it with Zimbra I'm afraid! Due to costs and the forthcoming dumping of exchange from the small business server edition of windows (called essentials) we are after cost effective alternatives the only last hurdle to cover is adding signatures.

as this is 2008 R2 are you talking about remotely via RDP. I think its an option you need to choose in the RDP configuration.

Yeah thats pretty much what you can do with onenote (although shortcut is built in!). You just need to have onenote installed not even open which I was wrong about above.

Fixed after more googling. I needed to run sudo -u zimbra /opt/zimbra/bin/zmtlsctl https and restart the server. Zimbra is now running the web interface via HTTPS.

Currently we use Exclaimer mail disclaimers to wrap HTML Signatures around emails sent via Exchange. What I am after is some software which can be put in as a smart host to do the same for our Zimbra Servers (Zimlets seem limited for this). If possible I would like it to be able to look at which domain the email address is sent from and apply the appropriate signature Anybody know of any software which can do this? windows or linux? Example Current (taken from disclaimer not my company!)

I have Zimbra setup fine and have been testing for the last 120 days using non ssl on the Web interface (SSL on the admin Interface on port 7071). so i can access http://Zimbra.domain.co.uk and https://zimbra.domian.co.uk:7071 although when I try and access https://zimbra.domian.co.uk I can't - port scans show the server isn't listening on that port - Any ideas how to setup? I thought it was beucase no SSL cert was installed but i've installed one and still no luck. Toby

the thing I was worried about was the link between the two datacenters. The end users will only ever talk to the second datacenter if the primary datacenter has a catastrophic failure (with two separate copies of everything in separate parts of datacenter) and dr is envoked and the dr site is brought online in which case a slight performance hit is accepted.
