Does anybody know of a software which can store multiple passwords that can be easily accessed across multiple devices simultaneously? Essentially I work for a service provider and we have hundreds of passwords we need to have access to - so ideally some sort of backend with a windows app, iphone app, android app etc Any ideas? All I can seem to find are individual ones.

Is there not a Service provided by the gov which does this? You spec out what you want post it up and people respond with Sealed bids?

Its not a shabby san as i say, at the introductory level, but if you struggle for performance it is a controller upgrade to go for, the main problem i have seen from the p2000 range is expansion in size but not controller. So people expect to be able to add 3 x storage arrays and expect better performance because they have more arrays running off the same controllers. With expansion downwards you also need to upgrade the controllers in these sans. Expansion in arrays doesn't mean better performance,.

When i left school in 2007 we had a school farm on site, standard was to let the Sheep out into the playground, and various other bits (we painted the art tables, took all the paper registers etc). My brothers year took all the door numbers off the classrooms and swapped them round in reverse order (took about a week and a half). So that door 1 was 100 and vice versa

Not too shabby you'll get about 6TB usable, ISCSI/FC/DAS? I have had mixed results with those SANs but they do work well. How many servers are you going to run from it? You will find those SANs are actually rebadged from the DotHill 2000 range.

That's not too bad but its still not cheap! Although likely you will get the host with that much in. From looking at the specs they recommend anything fast than 1Ghz so I would go with a middle of the field CPU TBH

How much ram do you require, the only reason i say this is you may find its cheaper to buy a newer server than it is to put additional memory into the G5, i know this was the case for one of my clients.

Well this is where the controller is even cleverer and the VStorage intergration kicks in, Even if you Thick provision eager zero, the controller picks up that it is having multiple zero's written to a disk and just acknowledges the write back to the hypervisor, when infact it doesn't actually write anything to the array, this causes no performance issues as 99% of the time when using thin provision the reason it tends to perform worse is that is has to ensure it can write to the space before writing it. Nimble takes this away. Also if you are planning on thin provisioning SCSI Unmap (space reclamation) which was introduced in VSphere 5.0 is fully supported (one of the first big players to do so). EDIT: the thing is with most of these features are they are designed for large enterprise, whereas 99.999999% of schools will never full utilize these features.

But the biggest different is that a nimble storage array will not slow down when its full - whereas a ZFS array will as its WAFL when the array gets "dirty", Nimble is always a sequential block layout

They use the SSD's in a different way though, nothing is actually stored on the SSD's they are purely a cache for the HDD. It caches hot data and prempts reads and loads those into the cache incase. You will never get a fragmented disk with the way data is written to the disks as it has a constant sweeping process to clean itself up. There is some very good videos on how CASL works on youtube and they are deffo worth a read. The bottleneck on these devices is the Intel Quad (Or Hex) core CPU as everything is driven from these.
