If your using CLEO as your broadband provider they will offer you a web based email solution.

We use PrimoPDF. It just installs as a printer so you can hit print in most apps and it turns it into a PDF instead of a had copy.

We have it with CLEO too.

I fully agree with you. Fully fledged techies don't happen by chance. As IT Manager it is my job to train them up and this means being part of a team. I don't leave my guys to do all the dirty jobs. My aim is to let them experience all aspects of the job from box shifting to building servers, networks etc. Some of this they do on real kit, some on virtual but they must have the time and support to develop all the skills. I am proud to say we usually keep a trainee tech for about 2 years by which time they have the skills, knowledge and experience to move up the ladder significantly (usually to another organisation as they pay better!). I love the bit of my job that lets me move others along their career path.

That's why I love kayaking and climbing (although I do both badly). It's just a complete escape, allowing me to forget everything else.

I feel for you - I get regular migraines and it is not good! I want to move on - not 'cos my job is rubbish (it's a good school, well regarded IT staff etc), just ready for a change.

The other way is to leave paths etc as they are now in AD and alias your new server so it still answers to the same name. That of course only works if you are rebuilding the old one or decommisioning it.

I played it most of Saturday and love it. Online play is easy and fun. Love the bikes. Back to proper MK roots - streets ahead of Double Dash on the cube. Old familiar tracks can be unlocked (Bowsers Castle anyone). Wii wheel is superb. In short I love everything about it.

DoS attack on the TES servers anyone?

Our timetabler used the Keith Johnson software last year and as I recall it was ok - the issues came when we imported back to SIMS. I think he ended up doing a lot of manual renaming of classes etc. I think we are going T6 this year.

We were doing something similar. All we did was disconnect the XP drive, build the other drive with Vista, reconnected the XP drive then used a bit of free software that managed the Vista boot menu. VistaBootPRO - Go PRO with Microsoft Windows Vista Boot Manager Think that was about it from memory.

We're back today. I think the areas that had Easter weekend off then came back in and took the 2 week hols later probably have the better time of it.

Pro Evo Soccer on the Wii. It's supposed to have some snazzy control system but it looks confusing on the ads. Just wondered if anyone had played it before I shell out for it.

So has anyone played this? What is the control system like?
