    Gonna order me a 48 port poe+ ubi edgeswitch tomorrow I think. Been toying with the idea for a while now. Equivalent hp 2530 is 1300 quid now (grey import). Ubi one is 700

Top one is standard server with infrastructure cal. 2nd one is datacentre with infrastructure cal. Both are 2 core packs so you need to buy a minimum of 8 per server

    Tried to trial expandrive. If their presales support is like their after sales I would forget it. Good product but nobody could tell me how this would work for 1500 users

    We just use salamander to do all this. Best money I spend out of my budget. Can do all this and more

    If you use sccm you can even use it to slipstream the updates in. We use thin images like this too. Make moving os version much easier. All software is installed post deploy

    I have. I'll dig it out later. I had to do a server 2003 migration in the summer. They wanted $$$$ to do it. Saved ourselves loadsa dosh doing it myself

    I wet my pants when I read that. Our staff love classroom but I feel like I'm bashing round a dark room with my hands held out looking for a light switch. This should help to monitor usage.

    I use dpm. Some people love it some hate it. I love it. Old job we used altaro. Defo worth a look too. Reason for using dpm over altaro for me was price and integration into shadow copies for user files

    Am I missing something? We redirect home folders and user folders and have moved away from roaming profiles due to a variety of reasons. This works absolutely fine for most users and first login is about 30 seconds. Rup going rip isn't such a bad thing is it?

    Share the wealth @Marci that sounds awesome. I set up virtualmin in my previous job. Creating accouts and deleting accounts is 1 liner in the cli. Will post tomorrow

    Biggest feature missing so far is not being able to move folders to team drive from Google drive. Doh. You can move files but not folders
