We've already started with some office 2010 machines to allow staff to experience the new interface before we upgrade like the folks above to office 2010 and windows 7 during the summer. Domain is on 2k8R2 boxes and we're going to attempt an active directory domain rename....

we had a similar problem with random pictures not printing. It turned out that .wmf files from clipart wouldnt print. If they were included in a document, other images wouldnt print. solution: the teacher tried to avoid using .wmf files. Thats as far as it got as we're upgrading to office 2010 in the summer and we'll see if it's still an issue then.

I use them quite a bit, too. excellent service and happy to run configurations past their server team to make sure everything is going to work. We used to use SCC but they weren't as competitive - insight also do next day delivery (free)

what size of photo (dimensions) did you use? i tried 96x96 but it looks a bit small (but then it's only 3k)

Found it - Office Customization Tool - Features->Modify User Settings->Microsoft Office 2010->Miscellaneous->Suppress Recommended Settings Dialog.

Doh. (not to self - read the page when posting a link) In the mean time i'm off to see how to disable the 'office updates' splash screen that seems to confuse users. (or at least find a setting to tell it to use our wsus - hopefully disabling the updates will allow wsus to kick in)

we use tapatalk on vbulletin (hibs.net - The leading resource for Hibs on the web for over 10 years - home). The client (iphone) end requires a purchase, but it's free for board admins. Apparently it's very good (i don't have an iphone ) A blackberry version is due out soon.

I'll third (or forth!) the hitachi's We've standardised on them and their network connectors. With the 101's not having the RJ45 port it was a bit of a problem this summer so we had to get some CP-A100's (corporate version) slightly more expensive. Apparently hitachi have realised their error and are/were ramping production of the 100's back up again but there was a 4 month lead time (back in August).

Can you disable the game port in the Bios? I'd be inclined to reset the bios to factory defaults and remove the extra RAM as SteveG suggested
